Bolton Wanderers "LISTEN" to fans!

Thu Jun 06, 2013 8:04 am

Bolton wanderers board ditched new sponsor 'quick quid' a pay day loan company, after 4500 fans signed and raised a petition against the latest Deal.

Nice to see a board actually listening to what fans want and act accordingly!
Well done Bolton!

Yes well done to Bolton fans as pay day lenders are absolute scum and why they are allowed to trade is beyond me.

But playing devils advocate our club could claim they have listened to fans when implementing the rebrand. At the time (12 months ago) a clear majority (however reluctantly) were in favour of the change of kit colour from Blue to Red in exchange for £100m investment.

Those against the rebrand use the fact that 99% of fans would prefer to play in Blue as justification for claiming that the club 'doesn't listen to the fans'

However, once the £100m investment and the security of the clubs future are thrown in the mix then a substantial are in favour of the rebrand.

Tony, shame on you. WTF you doing bringing the truth and common sense into the Red/Blue arena?!

Well said, mate. Can't hide from the FACTS (although some will try) ;) :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Craig it would be nice if our club would answer an email from a ST holder but it seems that's beyond them. I have now sent the club 3 emails regarding this "All Inclusive Ethos" the club claims exists, also asking for an assurance that our traditional "Blue" kit will be used at as many away games as possible next season. Sadly each email has been met with a wall of silence and even since VT has got involved that is a BIG change. In the past both Alan Whiteley and Gethin Jenkins have replied to me but those days are gone.

As Tony has said last year the majority of fans, myself included, accepted the rebrand on the basis of the promised investment and to a point I stand by that. However part of the deal was that there would ALWAYS be a Blue kit option in the registered club colours, but did we agree to that being a 3rd choice and only worn every flood. I didn't.

Right now I expect the club to have a red home strip and the yellow alternative to be the main away kit and I cannot see where the club will use our blue option.

Slowly but surely the blue is being phased out and we need to act before it is eliminated altogether as I fear it will be, and where does that leave the club with it's "All Inclusive Ethos"

That was NEVER part of the agreement on the rebrand.

Seen enough rebrand threads to last me a lifetime. Just pointing out that the fans spoke out, raised a petition and the club immediately cancelled the deal. Good on them.

Merlin you could've said Tescos had withdrawn a product due to customer complaints and it would get turned in to an R debate.
