But I thought the Jacks were world wide, had a base in Brazil and were the next big thing in the Premier League? The sooner they realise they're a selling club that have got repeatedly lucky the better.

And apparently Bellamy was deluded for saying we had more potential :laughing5:

Re: Laudrup

Think you will find mate, If Cardiff have players who do well next season, the bigger clubs will come sniffing. The right amount of cash and they are gone, simple as.

Swansea do not rely on selling players to survive, they are just victims of success. Someone comes in with silly money for players like Allen last season, we are not gonna turn them down.

Not to mention I got banned from PlanetSwamp on their review of the Rise and Fall of Swansea City by posting how they missed out the two administrations and screwing over local businesses. Can't handle the truth

Nope. They glorified Swansea in such a positive manner, they made it look like the supporters were angels, Petty was a bad man but didn't mention at all how they screwed businesses over, just how they were close to extinction. Yet you'll go on BBC Wales and when we were in a similar predicament in 09/10, they all had it in for us

BBCWales is basically BBCSwansea to be honest. The bias is disgusting.

Sky Sports News has learned that relations are strained between Swansea manager Michael Laudrup and his chairman Huw Jenkins.

Laudrup signed a new contract last season but has attracted the attention of several clubs since winning the League Cup.

However, it is understood that Laudrup is not happy with the transfer budget the club have planned for.

Sky Sports News understands that Laudrup and Jenkins have not talked for a week, and that the manager's agent Bayram Tutumlu is acting as an intermediary between the two.

Last summer Swansea twice spent £5million on players when signing the likes of Pablo Hernandez and Ki Sung-Yueng - but sources say Laudrup wants to spend double that on some players this summer.

A ticket to watch the Swans ... £35.00

A shirt from their genuine antique club shop ... £50.00

A years parking in the 'official' Red Gravel car park ... £150

Entertainment from their deluded fans ... Feckin' PRICELESS!! ;) :ayatollah:

Your strategy is to try and appoint good managers (failed with Sousa) and buy cheap players and sell both at a profit, a bit like the banks with shares and property before the credit crunch, and like them your luck won't last for ever :ayatollah:

Another summer... Another manager! Will this be 4 managers in 5 seasons? Wow!

Things aren't as rosey as the jacks thought at the "Stepping-Stone Stadium" after all then.

Re: Laudrup

it's rumoured he wants to spend 10/12 million on players and obviously the wages that entails , if we haven't got that money without putting the club in the shit then well done to the board for staying strong
If he goes he goes we've succeeded before and we'll do it again , thank god our board will never spunk cash we haven't got leading to us being fucked over like some i could mention ;)

. . while chairman says substantial transfer funds available

Swansea City have today finalised personal terms with Real Betis midfielder Jose Canas. The Spaniard has signed a pre-contract with the club which will be ratified once the transfer window opens on July 1.
The 26-year-old, whose contract is due to expire at Betis at the end of the month, has played a key role in their La Liga campaign, helping them book a Europa League Play-Off spot after a seventh-placed finish.
But Canas will now be involved in Europa League competition with the Swans instead following their success in the Capital One Cup last February, with Michael Laudrup’s side entering at the third qualifying stage.
Canas, who shares the same agent as Swans defender Chico Flores, will also join fellow Spaniards Angel Rangel, Pablo Hernandez and Michu in the squad at the Liberty.
A product of the Betis youth system, Cadiz-born Canas rose through the ranks at the club and made his first-team debut in 2009.
He helped the club win promotion back to the top-flight in 2011 and made 27 appearances last season.
The signing will come as a welcome boost for Swans fans after numerous stories in the media suggesting a disagreement in the camp with manager Michael Laudrup over the level of transfer funds.
But Swans chairman, Huw Jenkins, said: “Myself, the manager and our recruitment staff are all agreed on the quality of players we would like to sign to help us remain competitive in the Barclays Premier League.
“We are continuing to work behind the scenes, in private wherever and whenever we can, to strengthen our squad.
“For that reason it’s disappointing that I have to respond to the speculation of unrest at the club after the fantastic season we have had.
“There are substantial funds available to strengthen our squad over the summer while we are also in the privileged position, because of the way we’ve managed our finances over the years, that we do not need to sell anyone to fund those new recruits.
“It goes without saying that some of our targets will sign for other clubs for different reasons. But that’s the same for every club. The important thing, and a factor that has always been vitally important for us, is that we sign players who want to play for Swansea City for footballing reasons. If not, then we move on to the next target.
“I think most people will agree that it is a policy that has served this football club, and more importantly our fans, well over the last decade.
“It is true that I have not sat down with our manager since the last game of the season against Fulham, but that’s because we have both been away on holidays at different times. It doesn’t mean we haven’t spoken because I’ve had numerous conversations with Michael over the phone and there's been no difference of opinion on our original transfer targets.
“We have built up a strong reputation over the last few years at Swansea and I believe we have gone about our business in the right way. We have to remain strong for the sake of our supporters and make sure this proud reputation is protected at all costs.
“A lot of hard work has been done to try and maintain and improve on the incredible journey we have had over the last 10 years. That work will continue.’’

And Swansea are after Gus Poyet if Laudrup leaves. That's why we've suspended Poyet for because of his comments regarding budget and taking us as far as he can

Where can he take Swansea with no budget :laughing6:

Talking of getting fucked over, I suppose it's better than putting local companies and associates out of business for a third time then..... Keeps the council happy as well, at least they know you won't default on their rent.

The Danish press are supposedly running with a story that Laudrup is on a very short list for the Fenerbahce job.

He'll go, I'm pretty sure, but not even the great Michael Laudrup is bigger than our club . I'm also pretty sure Huw will be working on getting his replacement in as I type. It's not ideal but you get used to it after a while and try to detatch yourself from any sweet talking coach who strolls into town.

Thanks for our most successful season ever ML but you will be replaced and replaced well.
