Cardiff City Stepping up Interest in Ince

Wed Jun 05, 2013 6:41 pm

Sky Sports understands that newly promoted Crystal Palace have made approaches for Blackpool duo Thomas Ince and Matt Phillips.

But it is understood that other clubs have also made moves for the wing duo.

Blackpool boss Paul Ince is reluctant to let his son leave, whilst Scots winger Phillips is another key member of the squad.

However, former boss Ian Holloway - fresh from promotion - is keen to add both players to his squad, and he knows just what both are capable of having signed for the pair during his time at Bloomfield Road.

Holloway, though, does have competition to sign both players.

Cardiff City are believed to be stepping up their interest in Ince, whilst Bolton boss Dougie Freedman wants Phillips.

It is also understood a number of other clubs are ready to test Blackpool's resolve over the duo.

Would love Ince. Rate him more than Zaha and we'll then be a flair team. OMG so much flair. 8-)

Once is the perfect replacement for Zaha so we're gonna need to ask fast if we're going to get him

Ince would be quality, I would love Chris Eagles as well, apart from his goal against us he really impressed me. Everything he did seemed effortless.

My top target would still be Sako from Wolves mind, he would be a fantastic signing imo. We could probably get him on the cheap now they've been relegated and he single handedly carried that Wolves team at times, showing he is a team player. He put that chance on a plate for Ebanks-Blake against us, I still don't know how he missed that open goal!

Don't know what it is but I really don't rate him, wastes the ball far too often

Prefer to see him at a top Champ club to see how he would fair.

Why a top Championship club? Last season he produced the goods for a team that got relegated, he would be even better in a better team for a top Championship club surely? Every time I see Sako play he's a threat when he gets the ball, creating, scoring, making the team tick, putting a shift in, beating players with his pace, power, strength and skill. I think he would fit perfectly into our 4-5-1 system too as our left winger/forward and give us balance. I think he would be superb for us.

Sako is crap IMO. Him and Adomah were in relegated teams for a reason. Both lazy in comparison to the likes of Ince, Buckley, etc.

Would be a cracking signing. The only player that shines in the blackpool team :ayatollah:

Ince would be an unbelievable signing IMO

Sako, also would be a very welcome signing, I agree with poster above, carried Wolves against us, he might look lazy but that's just his laid back style, anybody who watched him closely could see he was prepared to put a shift in.

Sign em up Malky! :malky:

comes across as really cocky prick on TV. never understood the hype about the lad, i think he's a good player but one i wouldnt really want to pay more than £5-6m for, which would be his value if he wasnt english.

they'd be in cloud cuckoo land with their valuation so i doubt we could do a deal tbh :ayatollah:
