What is it with Liverpool shirts?

Wed Jun 05, 2013 1:57 pm

I went to Roath Park Lake and the wreck last Sunday afternoon and spent about 3 hours there, in that time i counted an astounding 17 Liverpool shirts or kits, approx 11 or 12 on kids and about 5 or 6 on sad men wearing football tops (should know better at their age), about half were the brand new seasons 2013-2014 kit or shirt !!!
By the way i spotted 4 Cardiff City blue kits on kids and no red shirts !!! :ayatollah: :old: :ayatollah:

I don't wear shirts to games but if I wanted to wear one I would. An i don't see what is wrong with somebody wearing a football shirt in the park in the summer.

Who are you to say what other people should be wearing at any age? I wear Cardiff City replica shirts proudly and I have a son who is 18. Don't give a flying f**k what people like you think. Counting people wearing football tops in roath park get a life sado

It's an era thing.

Kids with no real knowledge of what being a football fan is all about, become a follower of the best team when they are 10-12 years old. They like to be seen as successful through their football team.

So Cardiff based Liverpool fans are usually between 40 & 50 years old. Leeds fans are over 50 and Man U fans are around 30 years old.

The problem is, as they have no real idea about football their kids end up being pushed the same way, but a few do break out and follow their local team. It's a slow burn but we are getting there.

CCFC supporting kids in my daughters' school used to take stick from Man U and Chelsea fans as CCFC were deemed crap. But things are changing and the plastics are considering going down the City. They are laughed at as they will not get any ticket. Which I suppose oddly makes them plastic City fans.
