Tan offered a rebrand. We weren't forced to take it. We had a choice. TLG walked and said if we end up in administration so be it and he was willing to accept that as a choice. Just because something is offered it doesn't mean you have to take it. The majority wanted Premier League football and £100m and agreed to the rebrand for gain. For much of Liverpool's history its home colours have been all red, but when the club was founded its kit was more like the contemporary Everton kit. The blue and white quartered shirts were used until 1894

We didn't have a choice the only thing we could do was turn our back on the club and I for one wasn't prepared to do that.
