Not quite a lie as there was a Langston hurdle to get over before it could be converted.

This is no VT love in thread but more of a realistic and take a minute to think how lucky we are here. We will be one of 20 teams playing in the best league in the world, we don't want to lose that easily. VT has a view and a vision for this club, and along with Malky and many others this vision is being successful! So let's not make VT leave because his money is key!

You should know that as you're the one who's there. Keep falling for VT's lies and bribes you gullable red sheep.

I believe if VT really wanted to convert the debt to equity, he would have by now, especially as we've got promoted. There should be no excuse now.

I am as blue as they come Kermit but to suggest our debt will be cleared thanks to one season in the Prem you need to see a quack.
Are the players all going to play for free next year?

It's not that easy.
Converting his debt to equity, makes him the highest shareholder and liable to handle the clubs debts plus if his shareholding reaches a high percentage (don't know what it is) he has to make offers for the shares of other major shareholders.
Why would he take responsibility for the other debt when there are other shareholders that have an equal responsibility for it.

I didn't say our debt would be cleared with one season in the Premiership did I? I said the MAJORITY of our debt will be cleared. Plus if we get relegated we will still have the parachute payments to help us out further.

BBC News 28/0213
The club's last set of accounts show it has debts of £83m. Much of that is owed to Vincent Tan which he says he will convert to shares but will only do so once the Langston debt is dealt with.

Be careful what you wish for, apart from the red kit everything else is perfect.
Tan and malky have a good working relationship and that's important, below that we have malky who has been fantastic in transforming the club over the last few years. From Tan down to the youth the whole club is moving forward.
If a new owner came in what if he wanted to replace malky? or spend money wildly.
Look at qpr swapping managers regularly, spending over the odds. With the relationship Tan and malky have that doesn't look likely to happen.
Another example is Reading who got rid of a good manager when they hit panic stations.
We have stability, fantastic relationships all through the club, progress on training youth and other important areas safeguarding the future of the club.
Br careful what you wish for in Tan going as you don't know who the new owner will be. Apart from red this club is in the best position it have ever been.

Obviously our wage bill will increase when we bring in new players, but what we lose on players wages and other running costs per month will be peanuts compared to what we will financially gain next season. You must be an idiot if you don't see that.

Because the 20,000 who went to Rochdale on a Tuesday night would rather go back down to the dungeon and run Tan out.
I went to Rochdale twice (both Saturdays) and its a shithole. I dont want red but I dont ever want to go back to the likes of Rochdale and Lincoln again.
