If you are someone who accepted the rebrand investment then you dont have the right to moan about it imo.

We knew the conditions of the investment and the majority took it. We sold our identity and tradition for £100m.

You cant just decide one day you want it back. Business doesn't work like that. We had the choice to choose administration and keep our identity. The majority didn't want that and were prepared to sell our tradition to stop it happening. We did have a choice.

Now they have what they bought with our identity and tradition they suddenly want it back. TLG, Chuckles, alfie etc. were all prepared last summer to take administration and keep our identity but instead the majority, including myself as im guilty in this, sold our identity and tradition on their behalf to chase the Premier League dream and get financial stability.

They have a right to moan. They have a right to feel pissed off with the majority of us who sold out and took the easy route instead of the hard route. They were prepared to do what we all should have done and that is go through hell to see the identity and traditions of the club kept even if that meant becoming a phoenix club and Tan walking. We should be in League One now in blue with a bluebird but we made our choice. It was the wrong choice. I will however accept the consequences of those actions. I will accept red and black under Tan because I made that choice last summer.

I think other fans of other clubs have got it right personally. We sold out. Alfie, Chuckles, TLG and a minority of others didn't want to sell out so the majority including myself sold out on their behalf. I actually cant see Leeds fans doing this. I really cant. I cant see Portsmouth fans doing this. Everton fans kicked up a fuss over a little alteration to their badge.

We have no one but ourselves to blame for losing our identity. Its easy to blame Tan but we did have a choice. We just made the wrong one. I know this post will be controversial and some will call WUM but its genuinely how I feel.

I agree with your points :ayatollah: that week or so was so hectic though i didn't know what was going on half the time  i would say the majority who went along with the rebrand done it with fright to be honest, none of us really knew what would happen if tan fucked off.. hindsight is a wonderful thing :malky: i wonder how it would pan out now if we could go back

Good points to be fair. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but I think we have to accept our decision. Tan will see it that way as hes a businessman. Its a shame more of us never took the alfie, chuckles and sugarman approach last year. I still dont buy fear as an excuse. Maybe the younger fans who dont understand admin and hearing red or dead to them would have hit a chord. Alfie, Chuckles, Sugarman and others weren't afraid of admin though. Im not innocent. I was one of those who accepted the rebrand last summer so im not trying to shift blame. We may have been put in admin but we'd be in league 1 most likely with a united fan base singing proudly on the terraces in our traditional colours alongside one another. The Jacks would have been lapping the Premier League up but we'd have had our time eventually. We're looking at Premier League football next year but I cant help but feel its come at a severe cost. You only have to look at posts on this board from the last week to see how fractured our fan base is. Its a shame but we have to accept it for what it is. We made our choice.

I Agree i cant believe the reaction now compared to the original rebrand. it seems more people are willing to do something now than they were back then, and i cant say anything i went along with the rebrand i didn't like it or buy any merchandise but i went for the football. like you've more or less said we have made our beds now we probably have to lie in it.. cant see tan budging at all now.

Mate, someone has stolen the 'E' from your title (above)  :ayatollah:

With regard to your comments there (a) simply aren't the numbers who are that bothered enough to take noticeable action, and (b) the willingness from tan to move from his Far eastern strategy

TBH, I can't blame him on his strategy, as it's his arse on the line and his money that is invested, eh? ;) :ayatollah:

I'm more worried about the 100 year old Cardiff identity than Tan's arse.

Hmmm, if we HAD lost our identity, then I would be worried too...but that simply ISN'T the case IMHO :ayatollah:

Your opinion obviously differs and that is fair enough but the change to red is a Tan-inspired thing that he is not about to change, as much as WE (and I include me in that ;) ) would like it to, so I am concentrating on maybe winning the shorts colour battle and also getting behind the team 100% come August :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
