emergency board meeting this afternoon so they say on twitter

Re: LAUDRUP

Fri May 31, 2013 2:14 pm

Dont fret, they'll sign another manager who'll produce then move on the season after. Swansea FC is football version of a route 66 gas station. Little place in the middle of nowhere that people use to get to their desired destination.

Jenkins will 'lay his cards on the table' before asking for a 'commitment' from Laudrup to work with a squad simply not good enough (as the latter half of the season proved beyond doubt ;) ) before informing him (Laudrup) that he has little money to spend because the profits are to be re-invested into, erm, the pockets of the Board :(

Apparently, they did consider spending some of their money on improving the stadium (a pot of paint to change those depressing colours would be a start  ) but someone then reminded them that they don't actually OWN the stadium and were unlikey to get credit because their 'rating' was lower than that of Cyprus due to historic debt avoidance

Jenkins, so I am told, is considering his position at the club and wants to quit whist he is ahead ;)

Laudrup KNOWS his stock is currently high and will do what ALL Swansea managers do, i.e. move on to pastures new as soon as he gets the chance ;) :ayatollah:

Indeed. It's what ALL Swansea managers do (and who can blame them?) :ayatollah:

One thing that I do (genuinely) think is that Huw Jenkins is for some reason 'happy' with the managerial merry-go-round and so far it has worked for them. However, I really do think the 'signs' are there that the current squad are at the end of their shelf-life and the manager is aware of that

Laudrup (like others before him) will quit whilst he is ahead :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

But he's"promised them"mun, and no Swansea manager ever breaks a promise

Re: LAUDRUP

Wouldnt be suprised if Laudrup goes if Martinez was the one to replace him. Not really a bad swap considering Martinez is the one who got the ball rolling for them and has also proven he can compete in the Premier League.

If, as rumours are suggesting Laudrup goes, I am sticking a couple of quid on Pulis.

and now Laudrup is supposedly as good as gone because of twitter rumours that we're going to go have a board meeting?

Re: LAUDRUP

If Laudrup went and the jerks then bombed, it wouldn't even cross my mind to visit Planet Pikey, let alone post on there. Football aside, they really are backwater small-minded backwards down there. They really do make you cringe. This BBC Swansea call centre program which is on next week will show what a bunch of beauties they are. Again. The guy who runs it was on the One Show last night. He looked like he used to be in Showaddywaddy and was thicker than a rhinos arse. Cringeworthy.

Must be that at this time of year Laudrup gets stroppy

Are you telling me that there was no bust up between Laudrup and senior players last summer?

Re: LAUDRUP

Fri May 31, 2013 5:12 pm

Laudrup is proving to me that he knows exactly what he needs for Swansea next season.

He is aware of the affects a long Europa League campaign can have on a season and he needs a larger squad. If Jenkins thinks Swansea can buck the trend and not have an affect on their Premier League season, he is naive.

Re: LAUDRUP

Fri May 31, 2013 5:18 pm

They have Managers and they go but time and time again Jenkins finds another top rate Manager and he will do again.

Their Europa League campaign could be over before the PL season starts.
