One thing i don't understand...

Fri May 31, 2013 9:11 am

Is why you Cardiff fans get so upset about your club colours yet never said a word about the massive 'MALAYSIA' sign on the front of your shirts. yeah, you may say 'it's just a sponsor'...but to me and i'm sure to many others it just says malaysia fc. If i were a Cardiff fan then that would be what i was completely embarassed about. when that sponsor just happens to also be a country name then that is shocking.

One thing I don't understand is, if you don't support Cardiff why would you be remotely interested in what is written on the front of our shirts? Personally, I would much prefer the name of a country than say a betting/casino company or payday loan company. :ayatollah:

Swansea would of course fiercely defend their history. So easy talking fictionally. Once they start playing badly consistently everyone can finish bumming them as their second favorite team. "Swansea have done it the right way" blah blah blah

Your OP says 'One thing i don't understand'. You need to update it to 'Most things I don't understand'. My dog shits brighter things than you. Tit.

Who are Swansea's sponsors for next season?

Last I heared they were leaving 32Red a year early to look for a third party that coul assist stadium development.

Spot on.

I would despise our club if they went as low as taking money from one of those payday companies. They are scum. They destroy people's lives and should be shut down.

Clearly touched a nerve.

Not had a single logical response yet. My point is that when you're clearly so worried about selling out to the Malaysians (practically every post on your board is about the colour change) then nothing says you have sold out more than the big letters spelling out Malaysia. It's exactly what your chairman wants...for the sponsor actually to instead look like the players are representing Malaysia. That is the real issue that i would be truly embarassed about if i were you.

When you have a betting company or whatever else, it actually looks like a sponsor as oppossed to the country which your chairman wants you to represent.

Not expecting anything other than a hostile response, but you know i have a point. It just amazes me that you don't seem bothered by it. If Swansea had something similar then i'd be gutted but i dont think the fans or board would accept it.

This argument is nearly 30 years out of date. I can remember the outcry when shirt sponsorship first came in back in the 1980's and at one time games weren't going to be shown on the BBC because of it.

Shirt sponsorship is just that 'sponsorship'

Of course our Chairman wants the viewing public to see it, he paid for the privilege last season. Rather than being embarrassed I think our Chairman is being very shrewd for a number of reasons by having that logo.

If the perception is we are 'representing' Malaysia then so what? We are getting £100m in return and that is almost up there with the Man U's and Arsenal's.

Nice try mate but as pointed out you have your own personal problem in that I wouldn't be seen dead on a Swansea site yet your so fascinated (& by association) jealous of Cardiff City you can't help but post on one of our forums. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Sponsors come and go which ever pays the most is what gets on the front of your kit.

Shirt colour and badges are tradition they should stay there, they shouldn't change that's what the fuss is about.

Is that a reasonable response for you? you inbred six fingered sister molesting c***

Sunderland have Africa on their shirts? Its a bloody sponsor and it show's why we are the bigger club. All you can talk about is what color shirts we play in and whats written on the front of the kit...

Spot on. They can't help but come on here - they have an inferiority complex because they are, errr, inferior. Maybe the jerks should have this on their shirts - "24/7 OBSESSED". Cos that's what they are.

What I don't understand is if you had 6 fingers and you fisted your mother and sister on regular basis, does that count as double fisting because she's getting more than the average 5 digits?

Sorry boys...i genuinely thought some of you might agree but i guess what they say about cardiff fans is true. "Happier to be in the PL than to see Cardiff city in the PL"..

With 90m debt or whatever it is then you must've felt you had no choice but to bend over for tan...but you shouldn't kid yourselves that your deal is anything like Arsenal's. Arsenal are a well managed club with a profit. Best thing you could have done is not panicked with all the debt, found a proper investor who listens to the fans and then there might be something about your identity that says cardiff city and not malaysia red dragons. i know some of your older fans will be probably agree with me despite not admitting it. The big malaysia sign over the tunnels on your promotion night summed it up for me.

anyway good luck next season...Hope you can do Wales proud like the Swans have.

Ok then, can you explain why it's wrong for the benefactor of a football club to promote his proud country within a football club he's spent multi millions on, compared to say Brighton who have a stadium named after an American banking corporation?

We have new sponsors queuing around the block to be part of us now. Your point seems like what most time honoured jacks would be thinking of - closet racism

I'm not the slightest bit embarrassed about having Malaysia on our shirts. I would be embarrassed however by two-tone red shirts/shorts...so would many others. That is what this is all about. For the record I am totally against red but that battle is lost for the moment. Your opinion is irrelevant so why don't you disappear?
