Agree. Common sense says that the piping/neck & shorts etc should match but for the above reasons black is the only option.

Agree. It looks better - more aggressive which is what the colour changes are allegedly about. Instead of colours of mourning or subservience.

If I am not mistaken Barnsley play in red & white ! If not blue then it has to be black because Liverpool play in all red, Man Utd in red & white. We were also promoted in black shorts.

Black for me as well. No point in picking white shorts "because they are part of our traditional blue kit" they will have 2 red stripes down the side.
