FAO - Fans that dress casually to games, but oppose the Red!

Thu May 30, 2013 8:39 am

There's a big percentage of fans that dress outside of any club colours. (As a percentage I'm not sure how many, but I'd hazard a guess at around 40% just for this post purposes) a category that I and many others fall under.

These are the fans groups like Bluebirds Unite and anyone else backing the return of our blue, should try and reach out to!
Even if those people refuse to wear any blue football shirts, to try and at least wear some visible blue colouring, a t shirt, coat, jacket, scarf, hat, whatever! Just as long as it adds to you supporting our Blue, and to help us prove a point.

So, if you are in this category, help us out, stand up for tradition, and keep us blue. even if nothing gets done officially, you will be assisting in keeping our stadium looking as it was designed for!

Spot on merlin it does my head in people moan about blue or red b ut they dont wear blue anyway so why make a big fuss over it, i been following the club since 1976 and always try to wear blue, the same subjegt was brought up when we played at wembley to wear blue, but each time we went there all the other fans wore more colours than us especialy blackpool and liverpool

Spot on Craig :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
For years I have only worn Casual clothes way back to the late 70's, but have always watched my club play their home games in their right full colour Blue, but by wearing Blue at every game and showing that this is our identity, so be it. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Quite right Merlin, a good idea. Is it the older fans like Annis    that dress casual or younger ones as well. I used to wear the shirts to every game but now due to my age i wear a blue polo shirt instead. There must be thousands more like me around so as long everyone wears blue that's fine> I personally will never buy a red shirt and neither will my sons.

Anyone stopped to think how these sort of actions may make the people that believe in the rebrand will feel. Outcasted in their own stadium? Pressure from fans around them to wear Blue? Attendances dropping because people feel they can't go because of the issues??

Support yes, just have a think about the bigger picture here guys. We're all fans of Cardiff City but just have a think about what these kind of actions can mean.

Seriously think about it.

I wouldn't expect any other thought process from you! I'm not talking about me here by the way but I'm thinking of Kids, Women and the elder generation that wear red!

I get the thought behind it and I'm all for people standing up for what they believe in but like EVERY "Pro Blue" event... this hasn't been thought out.

Re: FAO - Fans that dress casually to games, but oppose the

So you are asking people to re-conasider wearing their traditional colours to games, in case you upset or alienate someone who has enjoyed wearing red for all of 12 months  :laughing5:

Fair play, you are an idiot. An even bigger idiot than your brother who used to post on here.

Are you soft in the head? How will people wearing blue alienate other fans in the stadium? :? So you dont want your own fans to wear our original colours cause it might offend someone. Christ

We all sit in blue seats, walk through blue gates, thousands amongst thousands of fans STILL wear blue anyway. I'm not even making any sense of what you just said!
I'm also not saying we sing about red, single out anyone who wears red, or put any pressure on those that chose to Don their new super two tone red kit wither. Everyone can wear what they like! All I'm saying is those that DRESS CASUAL AND OPPOSE RED, TO STICK A BIT OF VISIBLE BLUE ON FOR 1. THE CAMERAS, 2.MAKE A POINT TO TAN. nobody wants red over blue.

What an absolute pile of utter rubbish! You want people to stop wearing blue (the club's rightful colours) just to stop the worry that it may "intimidate" People wearing red shirts?!

If you wanna wear red, full your boots - but f**k off coming on here saying that anyone else wearing blue is going to stop a pro-red from going to the games...

Don't forget

WE ARE IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE NOW!

We can use this to our advantage, with the addition coverage we will be getting. Believe me, when the season starts (and I hope it's a home game first) TAN WILL FEEL THE PRESSURE FROM THE OFF! :malky:

If we make a fuss the media will love it. As our story plays into existing fears from premiership fans/ journalists.
