Grown men for fucks sake

All whining and moaning about a kit who gives a f**k I don't I bet 90% of the moaners don't even buy merchandise so what's the bother you knew it would be red and all this charade is about is to have another good old moan about the rebrand this was once a good forum full of people who now think they are special and spokesmen for all city fans, rebrand this rebrand that I'll walk away bollocks, hardly anyone has walked away respect to the initial supporters who walked away the rest on here just keep bringing it up on here every day of the week to try and make themselves look important and I bet deep down they don't give two fucks about the colour of the kit! They ain't tradionalists they are people who can't accept change, the rebrand is for the future of this club like it or not times change just because you've associated Cardiff city with blue for years don't understand why u can't associate Cardiff in red its still Cardiff city FC after all and things only looking better in terms of long term stability for this great club, true traditionalists know where this club was founded and the colours we wore which have changed before including the name! Why not wear your riverside colours then folks, oh yeah cos that part of history doesn't matter only blue matters and not the long term future of Cardiff city FC

Pfffttt never seen so many bullshit threads about a feckin kit this forum is pure negativity all blaming tan and red why not blame yourselves its a colour doesn't affect 90% of you as you don't buy and fuckin merchandise anyway so what difference does it make whether the team play in blue red green brown black turquoise

Arhhhhh
Mate of mine obsessed with the rebrand and tan out yet the muppet has never bought any merchandise hasn't a clue how to run a business so doesn't understand the rebrand and its fundamental purpose to increase revenue streams to support stability, monad for tan out and blue back and then expects millions spent in the transfer market when tan is out couldn't make this shit up sounds like 50% of clown on here who want this this and this when the club is £130m in debt morons

Disagree completely it's a great post and sums up what the vast majority of fans with any intelligence are thinking right now. The survival of the club is the most important thing here not about the colour we play in.
I think it struck a nerve with you :laughing6:

Re: Grown men for fucks sake

I agree its a great post, whilst I dislike the two tone effect on the kit, im never going to own it anyway, I normally buy the full kit for my kids to go football training, but due to the fact the club haven't made a very good colour choice on this occasion I won't buy them, Hopefully Carls post about a change of shorts will prove accurate.

The amount of people who jump on the bandwagon on this forum is a complete and utter joke, form you own opinions for god sake. If I want to make my feelings known about the kit I will contact the club directly or fans reps via the trust, not rage about the owner on a personal level on the Internet.

The same people screaming 'Tan out' yesterday were excited about our potential delve into the transfer market last week, and I hasten to add I do not include certain people in that statement (aka the people who marched through the city on the 26th who are doing something that they feel is constructive to their cause)

You can't have the penny and the bun folks....

Lets hope the shorts get changed, but if they don't I won't be getting my pitch fork out. Days on the forum like yesterday are the days I choose to avoid the forum like the plague, it's a sad reflection on our members, some will never accept the rebrand, fair enough, but lets let our club move forward into the Premier League without us trying to drag it backwards. I think last season proved that this board only represents a vast minority of the actual fan base, just a very vocal one!

Firstly, not everyone who hates the rebrand wants Tan out, there were one or two idiotic comments yesterday, but in the main people know its complicated, and most appreciate he saved this club. However, that doesnt mean we have to be eternally grateful and agree with every decision he makes, especially when the decisions on the kit and the badge have been utterly shocking.

Secondly, you talk about the business streams this red has led to? Prey tell as no-one is aware of this. Its one mans lucky whim, nothing more, nothing less.

You also talk about people not understanding the business aspect, then surely from a business point of view you put out the best product possible (in this instance the kit) and more people will buy your product?

I would expect the doughnuts on The Apprentice to come up with something better than that crock of shit that was revealed yesterday. Whoever designed it then Lord Sugar would surely be telling them "YOU'RE FIRED!!!"

Finally, how can you complain about people not acting like grown men when you use a false "z" in your name?

I usually give both forums a wide berth whenever rebrand fever takes over the board. Would much rather talk about potential signings & other club related stuff. These arguments (which no one will ever win) have become boring & tiresome.

Firstly mario? Lets not talk about names is it :) always respect your posts polo so ill answer, I'd had a few beers whilst writing thy last night so excuse any poor English in it, but my point remains true, yes the kit looks poor and we all know the badge looks like a beer mat, but the sales on kit are mainly for children and younger fans who wear replicas not many grown men do hence my grow up remark over colour, an to say tan is only making us red on a whim is farcical, yes he believes red is luckier but it has nothing to do with luck it is to appeal to Malaysian fans and other Asian countries such as china, I personally don't believe in coincidence and to me it's no coincidence that Peter Lim a very wealthy china man is now acting chairman of the club previously heavily linked with Liverpool is involved with our club and rumours of tan floating us on the Asian market soon, now I'm no rocket scientist but surely the two are linked and mr Lims involvement may soon be More heavy with the club, if you look at the Chinese market I believe you'll find that shirts that sell abroad are predominantly red

Re: Grown men for fucks sake

Thu May 30, 2013 9:04 am

Oh come on Smackerzz, the reason red kits sell so well in Asia is feck all to do with colour, its to do with the fact those 2 clubs, Liverpool and Man U, dominated English football in the TV generation.

Do you think if Chelsea had dominated the way Man U have the last 20 years that the Asians would be still be buying Man U tops instead of Chelsea?

Malaysians national colour is blue ffs.

I don't think it's about selling shirts to the Asian market......it's more about investment on the Asian stock market and red will attract bigger fish.....it's about using the right fly.....matching the hatch

That was true of an earlier post but the one you replied to was just China. One country having a blue national side kit isn't a game changer anyway. Do they even care enough about their national side to buy the shirts?

I agree to some degree with the original post. I believe from seeing Steve Borleys tweets that we are limited with our design under the Puma contract . However that's no excuse for the decision on the shorts.
There are some folk on ere who are so blinkered and can't wait to cast their stone against Tan . I ere he's also behind the Boston bombing and the trouble in Syria :)
We need to pick our battles and once the debt is paid off, we has fans have more leverage.

Exactly my point steve all be it drunkenly put across last night :), the Asian market is worth far more to the club than our local market and if the stick exchange rumours are true then red and dragons and china mean big cash in future for city, does anyone with half a brain actually think tan doesn't have a bigger picture regarding the rebrand and red and that a multimillionaire businessman and very successful one would change the colours and badge of a club(business) on a pure lucky wim? Absolute bollocks this is all part of Vincent tans ultimate plan which is starting to come together slowly, more revenue equals more stability an ability to compete at the highest level simples

Missing the point jinks, my point is everyone on here junps on the bandwagon and abuses tan constantly bringing everything back to the rebrand even the kit which was always goin to be red ffs, anyone who thought otherwise is delusional, everything gets brought back to the rebrand when folk should be concentrating on supporting the club in possibly the most defining season in the clubs history not attacking the board and owners every 5 minutes over the most pathetic things ie a kit who gives a f**k if it looks shit you aint wearing it are you?

Hit the nail on the head. People seem to think this is a black and white issue where you either worship Tan and everything he's done or you hate him and would happily see him hanging from the Ninian Gate.

A lot of people would prefer open dialogue about the rebrand with Tan, rather than forcing him out. Too many pro-reds don't understand that.
