Nicely Played Tan

He's played this so well. Bringing out a kit SO ugly that people are actually petitioning for a "return" to red & black...

Well played Sir.

I just said very much the same thing!

They will claim 'we have now listened to and compromised with fans and altered the kit'----albeit to a colour that suits only vt --not blue :(

Everyone happy with a half decent red kit... That's what he would gain.

Well, nearly everyone. ;)

Yep, that's the crux of it. I have a horrible feeling that changing back to black and red will go some way to appeasing some fans (hopefully none!) who were a little more vocal about staying in blue a few weeks ago... :(

Mind games.

He's used your hard earned cash to create it. I honestly don't care what the kit looks like, some are more pissed off it's a hideous kit than the fact it's blue but there we are. We've had some bad blue kits in the past.

I can see the logic behind your thinking but it seems a lot of hassle to go to when 80% of the fan base have (reluctantly) accepted the rebrand any way.

As for the other 20% they will never be moved and will only accept a change back to blue.

Not having ago mate but I think you have completely over analysed the above. VT doesn't need to play mind games he can do whatever he likes with the home kit.

lots

There has been rising pro blue sentiments from the supporters over the past few months. I reckon he has no intention of having shorts that don't match the shirt,he will issue a statement in the next few days, saying 'I've listened to the fans,we'll play in matching red shorts or black or white shorts for that matter.

There will be a collective sigh of relief, pro blue sentiments will fade again as we have a chairman who listens to the fans.

He's a manipulator and he's shit hot at it tbf.

There always has been a pro-blue sentiment I have it so does nearly everyone else.

However, most fans understand the terms of the rebrand that VT can do what he likes with the home kit as we gave that up for £100m investment as part of the rebrand deal.

If you are referring to the Blue celebration thing the other day I really don't think that 300 fans is enough to make VT go to all this trouble.

I personally think it is something to cause a stir in order to get publicity and therefore free advertising both here and abroad, similar to what happened last year with the initial rebrand

Well if nobody buys the shirt next season, a large revenue stream will be lost to the club.. So go on everybody cut your nose off.

Sales will depend on success not colour. This season proved that.

Well if we do well and sales are high, who gives a damn what shade of red they're reluctantly wearing.

I'm not. I'm referring to the amount of blue on display for the closing games, the parade and the 'we'll always be blue' chants.

A big well done to those guys on Sunday. I think they have started the ball rolling.
