£2.5M? its not april fools so i can only assume you misplaced the decimal point.

Re: Nahki Wells

I think our fans need to wise up and stop embarrassing themselves! Same was said about Mason but ai guarantee nobody was slating Malky when he scored in the League cup final??

The guy has done an incredible job over the past two seasons and if he buys Nahki Wells for £2.5m.... There's a reason so get your head out your arses and trust our excellent manager.

So you think nahki wells is better than both Maynard and Campbell?
I don't think so therefore will be on the bench at best and 2.5million is a lot of money to be sat on the bench,
Also he isn't the target man we are looking for

Two things....
1) How do you know we're looking a target man? Or is this opinion?
2) Did I say he was better than these two? He's a young kid that has bags of potential and Malky has an outstanding record with signings so trust him is the message I was getting across

No I think you need to wise up. We spent 250k on mason whilst we were a championship club with only 10 players.

2.5 million on a over rated striker who scored 18 goals in the bottom division hes not even that young. Is not a good deal

1) it is my opinion like a lot of fans that we need a target man or someone that can be a strong presence up top and play as a lone striker and nahki wells is not capable of that
2)you didn't say he was better than them no that's why I asked, and my point being is if he isn't better than Campbell or Maynard ,which I don't think he is, I would much rather the money be spent elsewhere than for someone to sit on the bench or in the stands. This is a time we need to be buying quality premiership standard footballers to keep us in the premier league, and at present nahki wells isn't up to premiership standard imo.

So we might not be after a target man no? We (Malky) might actually looking for a player in exactly his mould?

Re: Nahki Wells

Wed May 29, 2013 8:10 am

Rickey lambert scored in every division ,goal scoring is an art ,doesn't matter at what level u are ,2.5 bait much tho

Re: Nahki Wells

Wed May 29, 2013 8:31 am

So what Earnie scored in every division but is all round play wasnt good enough to last in the Premiership.

Take your own advice and trust our manager instead of suggesting we sign doughnuts like Noel Hunt and David Bentley

"Chances of signing Hunt - 6/10"

So according to you there is more chance of Hunt coming here than not coming here?

Who suggested we sign David Bentley? Go back and read it again Polo

I'd piss myself if Hunt signed now just so I could bring this back up.

Why start a thread on Bentley then?

Noel Hunt

Re: Nahki Wells

2.5m for Nahki Wells is too much in my opinion but that's probably the "asking price" as it stands and we all know that we will probably get him for half that price or close to it if the deal gathers momentum and the deal is right for the player himself which obviously depends on other interested parties amongst the other variables.
What we mustn't do is underestimate competition for places and whos to say that Wells is not a transfer target alongside the names mentioned above.
Keep the faith in Malkey until proved otherwise eh?

I doubt that we are in for a player in the nhaki wells mould because we already got two good players in that mould in Campbell and Maynard. Gomis who we have been interested in is in the target man mould with pace and a good finisher so this is the type of player malky is likely to be interested in.
Thank f**k you ain't the manager we would be starting the season with noel hunt and nahki wells up front
