Everton fans get what they want

Tue May 28, 2013 5:53 pm

1. A new badge for the 2014/15 season
2. Its a compromised modern badge
3. Its not their old badge but middle ground to keep both parties moderately happy

This is the best for what we can try to do.

1. We'll wear red because we believe in your red vision for this club but there is give and take and you should hear our views also as a strong Cardiff City FC fan base
2. We should tell Cardiff City FC, you aim to market the club in Asia but no one will buy our kit with this shit badge so we want a new one, a modern one with fans input that is more marketable
3. This would be getting closer to middle ground. A badge that is more acceptable and not drawn by Tan after a night on the lash and a kit colour Tan wants.

Only from there can we progress and hopefully get more of our identity back. Everton fans, albeit I admit are in a different situation to what we were last summer, have proven that contacting a club and showing you want change can work and we need to do it ourselves.

Tan will listen if what you bring to the table does not offend him and his beliefs. He will listen, as others have said he is reasonable and we must work with him, not rise against him. By doing that we'll achieve nothing. Lets try and get a new badge for the 2014/2015 season. Karl's was nice and there was 1 or 2 on WalesOnline that were better than the current badge.

That's not going to happen.

You won't convince pro-blues such as myself to wear red, it just won't happen, it's a non-starter.

You pro blues are in the minority you wally.

300 turned up to the event, thats roughly 1% of our match day fan base on a full capacity stadium. Realise the position you are in. Stop thinking you pro blues are a powerful force. You are not. Pro blues want blue, you'll never get it. The best we can hope for is a compromise outcome. If you are not willing to do that then its red for you and a shit badge for you. Dont say the reluctant reds never tried to help you get a compromise outcome.

Tell that to the 90% singing "we'll always be blue" and "the blues are going up" and the majority of fans wearing blue on match day.

Tell it to all the fans who've bought red merchandise and a lot of those singing that also were wearing red. Oh dear, you really are living in a cloud of delusion. The vast majority of fans will just wear what is associated with the club whether its red or blue.

The forum does not speak on behalf of the majority of our fan base. The vast majority dont care enough for a full blue return. If they did, then there would have been a larger opposition regardless of a financial threat or not. Chuckles has and he has accepted Tan walking or admin could be a result of his opinion but that doesn't influence him. That is what you call a proper pro blue.

If you are willing to wear red or anything or give in for the sake of financial investment then you are not a pro blue, you are a reluctant red. A pro blue would not let a Portsmouth type scenario phase them and would stand by their convictions. Chuckles deserves a lot of respect for that in my opinion.

Come back when there are more fans wearing red and singing red-related songs.

Blue = majority :ayatollah:

There are more blues than reds HOWEVER. There everyone who went down the bay to celebrate our promotion, everyone who has a ST at our club has bought into Tan and his red vision. The majority don't hate the rebrand otherwise they wouldn't go, simple as.

The real BLUES are those who haven't renewed.

What you need to realise is that you can be a Cardiff City supporter and be against the rebrand, but for some reason you refuse to accept that.

Off course it was but that's history. No rebrand, no Tan which means no promotion and no premier league. Don't dress it up any other way, he made it all possible.

Some fans on here and I won't name names but you can guess who I am on about are so against the rebrand that they find it "Sickening" but then the slight sniff of premier league football and Rooney coming down the CCS they renew. That makes them the real plastics in my eyes, if we go down I guarantee the same faces will not renew in the name of "I hate Tan!".

I can accept that I am against the rebrand also. But where do you get off on calling others sell outs I don't know. You are no different to anyone else.

No one wants the red over blue. Some peculiar people have bought the red shirt but they were supporters before the rebrand.

You have described i'd say about 0.01% of our fanbase. So many sell outs.

Come back when the club plays in blue and has its old badge back. Oh wait, you haven't got to come back, you're still there, supporting Tan's vision whenever you turn up, supporting Tan's vision when you bought your bank balance. You may not like this but there is a high chance your season ticket money has gone to paying for a lorry load of red Cardiff City kits to be brought to the club shop. Thats the reality of the situation. The only pro blues dont go, TLG, etc. I'll admit I didn't care enough to stop going. I've been to just over 10 games this season and I'll still go when I can next season as I get free tickets now and then. For that reason im a reluctant red. However I still accept when I buy merchandise or any ticket im still supporting Tan's plans for this club.

They accepted Red for Cardiff City's future. The vast majority were buying merchandise paying for tickets etc well before achieving promotion.

Do you not understand how business works? There is a high chance your season ticket payment has been used as a down payment to Puma for red kits. Therefore, you are, indirectly supporting Tan's vision.

If Barnett boycotted Tan wouldn't know because he doesn't go to games anyway. I'm talking about match going bluebirds not keyboard warriors.

Someone who accepted red for the investment that came with it, that's an easier way of putting it.
