Just Back From A Few Days Down The Gower

Tue May 28, 2013 2:15 pm

I thought we had some Jack beauts on here (Some tidy ones too) but got talking to a couple in the pub and Ive never heard such nonsense in all my life.

From Swansea, to football in general, to politics I dont think ive ever met anyone so dull, biased and racist. They made Swansealad sound impartial.

Two old lumps they were I can only assume Ospreys fans who have recently converted to the Swans.

At least you didn't go to Swansea :ayatollah:

All clubs have "special" fans who don't have a clue... I just get the feeling Swansea's fans are just that little bit extra "special". :ayatollah:

My favourite one, when slagging off Nasri, he said "They all leave Arsenal for more money but they never win anything" I pointed out how Nasri, Toure, Van Persie, Fabregas.etc had all won the league with their new clubs he said "Ah well you know what I mean"

Er, no not really.

I was down there for a mate's birthday one year and this army boy steroid muncher threatened to stab me for being a Cardiff fan. It didn't rile me, it didn't frighten me... it just made me think what a pathetic lad this loser was for acting like that at his mate's birthday. That is the jealousy of second city syndrome though.

I was there a year or so ago. On a campsite in a bar with my Cardiff shirt on. Bunch of lick-arses.

I went to watch my boy play football against a jack team , I popped in their clubhouse for a pint when a cheery guy came in and asked me what the score on the telly was when I told him I didn't have a clue in my broad Cardiff accent,he looked at me like I 'd just taken a dump on his shoes.

The company I work for is based in Swansea. A couple of months ago when visiting down there, one of their fans were telling me over a cuppa (with a Liverpool mug btw lol) that Barcelona come over to watch "the swans" train to pick up tips. They admire their style and the "Spanish" way they play apparently. I nearly choked and laughed along with him - but he was dead serious. Deluded is not the word

Used to go to Swansea all the time, didn't see a Jack shirt once. Its only up until recently the local men have ditched the Uniteds and liverpools of this world and are now massive fans by all accounts.

Not really. I don't subscribe to abusing people in rival football tops on non match days. So I don't expect it back. I didn't get any abuse which was cool. But to tongue my arse that much was truly foul.
