I attended an International vets tournament at the City ground over the weekend and went along expecting to see new screens, an extra section of seats above the Ninian stand and the corners filled in. In fact I couldn't see any changes at all.
I spoke at length with a senior steward who told me no more ground changes would be made until the end of NEXT SEASON and then only if we are still in the Premiership and if advanced season ticket sales for the following year were going really well.
It's a business after all I suppose.

That is a disappointment, anyone else shed any light on this if its true? I hate those big gaping corners.

You went to the wrong stadium mate! The City Ground is in Nottingham.

If you meant CCS, ignoring what Steve borely has already confirmed regarding the alterations to be undertaken this summer, how the hell did you expect the club to have gone through the planning process,, tendered the works and constructed a whole new tier and associated works with a few weeks of our last game? Seriously? Come off it.

This topic has been discussed to death now.

Here are the facts for everyone:

1. There will be additional provision made within the existing bowl to accommodate a total capacity of just over 27k although final numbers will not be known until the final stage of the fitting. Time and procurement issues will effect the scale of the work that can be done. 1 corner must remain open to enable access to the pitch for vehicles and machinery (the corner between canton and ninian stands. There will be no new tier.
2. New screens are to be installed
3. The significant expansion (new tier) will only happen after next season should the club secure its premier league status. A planning application for the works will be submitted within the forthcoming season and the project will then go out to tender and procurement will commence. The works will take place between the end of the 2013/14 season and start of the 2014/15 season.
