CURRENT TRANSFER RUMOURS

Mon May 27, 2013 7:25 pm

Lets be honest they've hardly got me itching with excitement, with exclusion of Gomis.

I'm a massive malky fan, he deserves 100% backing from us fans because he's doing a top job, but if Gary o'Neil, Leon Barnett and Matt Phillips is the calibre of player were going to sign then hello championship and goodbye prem. Leon Barnett might have done well on loan in the championship with us but he's clearly not prem quality otherwise Norwich wouldn't let him go so easily and he'd be in their team/plans. Gary O'Neil has done nothing with West Ham and their willing to let him go and Matt Phillips has potential yes, but is he good enough for the prem? It's a risky one imo.

This isn't a pessimistic post but more of a realistic one. Lets hope Ian moody an big malk know what their doing and all these rumours are pants!

I think fans need to be both realistic and patient

It's just all message board and paper speculation as to who we are signing nothing else. It's always this time of the year where agents associate their players with clubs via the press to draw out other bidders and therefore make money for themselves whilst doing so.
It's not unusual for managers to let false projected signings out of the bag as well to hide their intended targets. Patience is a virtue at this time of the year

I'd bet by august that 90% of Malkys list will be surprises

Just sit back and enjoy the summer

Totally agree tony
In an ideal world he would have all the players in for the Swiss boot camp in July but players and agents will hold on to the last minute to see if there's a better deal out there before committing

If we get the same success rate this pre season as we did last year then we'll be an extremely healthy position. As you know mate I don't think he failed to capture many of the desired targets. Exciting times ;)

Think some fans would be happy to see us making ridiculous bids and offering astronomical wages for average players who have BIG NAMES!!!

However unlike QPR we don't have fools making the purchases.

Just sit back and enjoy the ride....

We've never been here before so let's just see what comes and enjoy it for what it is.
