Is that a good result for us?

Easy 6 points for us

Hoped for palace until I read about Watford transfer embargo. Have to see who hull and palace sign over the summer
Mon May 27, 2013 4:43 pm
From watching that game not to worried but it depends if they spend money in the summer

Terrible away trip but they deserved it.
Mon May 27, 2013 4:45 pm
Very disappointed, as I wanted Udinese
However, I always enjoy our trips to the Selhurst 'Lean-to' so it's not the end of the world and the important thing is that WE are there already!
Mon May 27, 2013 4:45 pm
I'm pretty damn confident we can finish above them which is good

When I went Tunisia people lived in better conditions than the people in Selhurst/Croydon.

Went there this season.. shocking area and I like original grounds but it is shocking.

I dont think the embargo would have been enforced against Watford as it wouldnt have been good for the Premier league. Perhaps this is a good result for us, time will tell.

Kevin Phillips Penalty was top notch today.....happy for Gabbidon and Darcy

Won a few quid on predicting the draw!
Good result for us imo, Zaha is off, Phillips is 24576 years old, and none of their players are premier league quality
I can't see them attracting bigger names than us
Mon May 27, 2013 4:53 pm
Its old fashioned and good as you can get flairs going and all sorts. The problem with the away trip is the surrounding area. The people from Selhurst/Croydon look like rottweilers who've been put through a shredder.

All true

Palace won't be as lucky with penalties like they were this season, like said above won't attract better players than us.

Any hope of signing Jonathan Williams would have disappeared now.
Mon May 27, 2013 5:06 pm
We are in a great position to stay up, we have the money to bring in good players, we won the championship and Malky being in the press linked to Everton (and Stoke I believe?) will raise his profile.
Also with Malky always having a game plan and choosing players based on his idea of how he wants to play on the pitch, it'll bring more value to the roles of the players coming in.

With Holloway in charge i think we can turn them over twice. On the other hand if they still had Freedman incharge think it would be alot tougher

Disagree entirely. One or two good signings from us, Zaha leaves them and he may see a pattern emerging. It's all going to depend on the moves made in the market and whether they match the players ambitions. Will he cost more? Yes of course he will but if he says he doesn't want to be at Palace and would rather come to us there is no point them keeping an unsettled player.

i wonder if they now regret selling zaha..

I don't think they had a lot of choice in the matter
When Utd come calling, the players will wana leave, you will struggle greatly to keep them.
Same thing with Pogba, Powell, even going back to Bostock or Bale to Spurs

I for one wanted palace to go up for one reason, because they have 3 welsh players espcially the talented youngster joniesta williams. This can only better our national team with all these welsh players in the prem, who cares about the dirty italians

Olly's press conference's are back,priceless.

He came trough the youth system at Palace like Zaha. Fair enough that United came in for him. If another massive club came in for Williams I'd agree but let's not kid ourselfs we are not a massive premier league club and he has no emotional connection to us like he does Palace.
If they stayed a championship side then we'd have maybe been in with a chance. Palace can now offer him premier league foôtball along with the money. I know we could also but like I said he's been there a long time and maybe wants to stay now they are premier league side.

I genuinely have absolutely no clue why anyone would think we have a realistic chance of signing the guy. He's headed straight for the top; Man City and Liverpool have been linked with him plenty of times in the past.
