Freedom of Speech they said - Forum Bans

Sun May 26, 2013 7:33 pm

So my new account I created, as mentioned to Owain and CityGent beforehand via PM, has been banned because someone couldn't handle debate.

It was made clear to Owain that I was setting up a new account. All I did on my new account was debate so why can't that be accepted on a forum? I have not abused no one and I asked for this account to be banned. Owain even made the kind offer of changing my username on here.

My new account makes my view of the rebrand quite clear from the onset and therefore there is no confusion. I am not pro red, im not pro blue. Im just putting up with what he have and that is thanks to Tan, a red kit and a badge drawn by a 4 year old. Thats not my fault.

Engaging in debate is not 'LOOKING FOR AN ARGUMENT'. The whole point of a forum is debate and discussion. I made it clear in my signature who I was as agreed with Owain. I was not trying to WUM or deliberately annoy anyone but partake in the forum discussions, some of which other members agreed with.

Absolutely ridiculous.

I have 1 other account actually - my others I asked to be banned ages ago.

My new account was 'The Rise Of The Red Dragon'

It makes clear my stance on the rebrand and there is no confusion. Im moving forward and done with it.

I have spoken to Owain about the reason why and the issue. I wanted THIS account banned and he offered a name change but I had already set up the new account.

Ridiculous just banning people because they disagree with your opinion. It stated in my new accounts signature who I am.

If the SS style moderators chilled out for 10 seconds instead of having a hissy fit then I would happily do that. Apparently debate is not allowed on the forum. Baked could have at least said, I think you are trolling here, stop or you will get banned, but instead, straight away jumping the gun.

FIGHT THE OPPRESSION. FREEDOM. :malky:

I contacted Owain and made my intentions clear and I stand by that. I'll speak with Owain or Annis later anyway, more rational and understanding people who are not paranoid that every single person is a reincarnation of Roath Tragic.

I just don't understand why people feel the need for multiple accounts in the first place. In the early days of this board the mods used a couple of accounts to attack posters who disagreed with them but that seems to have died a death now.
The difference between this board and mikes is that on this board you will get banned for having different views to the hierarchy on times

Why feel the need to open another account? Strange.

To be fair I've never understood the idea of having different identities on here. But to each their own i suppose.
As for me,I'm bad enough on my own to be fair.

I've crossed mods in the past and had warnings... One was misunderstood by myself involving Luke and I made a tool of myself by making it public,But I've never detected that he has held any animosity towards me for that. And has always come across quite fair.(Not Suggesting it was Luke who banned you, just using him as an example)

That being said I have detected several posts by mods which could be considered to have a hidden agenda in there direction.

My reasons were explained to Owain via PM. The private messaging function is exactly that, private. Owain and Annis are reasonable as are CityGent, even Baked is when he wants to be but just needs to stop thinking everyone is Roathie or like Roathie.

I have nothing against any of the mods or the people on this forum. Time to move forward and enjoy the transfer rumour mill. :ayatollah:
