Kendall and Twose leave Cardiff

Sat May 25, 2013 8:42 am

Cardiff City Football Club will be saying goodbye to two members of the Academy staff this summer, both leaving with our best wishes.

Lead Development Coach (U12-U16) Geraint Twose will shortly be leaving his post to take up a new Coach Education role with the Football Association. Geraint’s commitment and dedication has been paramount to the success of our Academy in recent times, having worked in various capacities for the Club’s Youth Development programme for more than twelve years. A popular, professional and well liked member of the club, we wish Geraint the very best for the future.

Academy goalkeeping coach and former shot stopper Lee Kendall will also be moving on this summer, leaving Cardiff City after one year to link up at Ashton Gate as first team goalkeeping coach for Bristol City. Lee has been recommended by Tom Heaton, another former ‘keeper at the club and we wish him the best of luck in his future career.

Geraint Twose was hopeful of becoming the academy manager but unfortunately for him, Dick Bate was employed for the role.

Twose was interviewed by Trevor Brooking for his position in the FA over a month ago :ayatollah:
