New champions league spot for Europa winners

TEAMS playing in the Europa League have a new incentive for taking the competition seriously — if they win it, they qualify for the Champions League.
UEFA Congress confirmed today the winners of the Europa League competition will qualify for Europe’s elite club competition from the 2015-16 season.
General secretary Gianni Infantino announced the rule change which aims to make the second-tier European tournament more attractive to clubs.
It is understood that Europa League winners and Champions League winners will no longer take a place from the domestic leagues if they finish outside of the Champions League qualifying spots.

Decent decision imo. Some big teams compete in the europa each year, could be a top comp, if all the teams involved were 100% focused on winning it
