I think Froch might sneak it with the home advantage, but cant see a knockout in this one.

I dont think he is in his decline as much, its more that hes not fought anyone decent in a few years, and if its close, its alot easier to get a "home" points win even without home nation judges.
I wouldnt be supprised if kessler won, i just think froch will win, then get destroyed and outclassed by ward.
If kessler was less a warrior and more a tactical fighter, than i think hed win. Froch struggles with anyone who will move and mix things up. But hes got a chin like a granite table and will go toe to toe all day long

In all three of his fights since Froch he has picked up a belt. In the Froch fight he picked up a belt too, the WBC belt.
His only 2 losses - Calzaghe - who many regard as a great - I dont but thats up to them and Andre Ward - tipped to be one of the next big things in America alongside Adrien Broner.
Yeah, really in decline. How is he going to fight the best again unless he picks up the belts and earns his place? The more belts he has the more he has to offer as people like Froch will want to take them from him. To be honest, I dont care who wins as the only interest I have in boxing at the moment is the other side of the pond in the USA and Southern America.
Broner, Ward, Alvarez, Matthysse, Quillin. They're the ones to be watching out for.![]()

He didnt have to win belts or do anything to fight the best. he has a rep that would get him shots. Belts dont mean anywhere near as much these days as everyone has one. I personally would look to the ring magazine ratings and want to top that.
Apart from a very old Winky Wright, quillin has fought nobodies, and i can see a brit like Murray Macklin or barker taking his belt very soon. If Barker beats geale which is do-able, i can see a barker v quillin fight happening, esp as hearn thinks HBO are wanting Barker fighting on tv with them and stateside and quillin is HBO.
Personally i think Stateside boxing isnt that great to watch, having been to 6 fights in the states, i much prefer the atmosphere with fights in the UK, better and bigger crowds for all the fights bar the odd superfight. The calzaghe and hatton fights were great to watch but brit dominated in the crowds massively.

Read what I typed and why I typed it...it was typed as other said he was in decline. I alluded that he's not in decline, just ring rusty against top opponents. He didnt have to win belts or do anything to fight the best. he has a rep that would get him shots. Belts dont mean anywhere near as much these days as everyone has one. I personally would look to the ring magazine ratings and want to top that.
He lost to Andre Ward FFS. That set him back a bit. He lost his belt and never had any. He therefore had to reclimb back up the rankings. You dont just get gifted a top fight because you just lost to arguably one of the best fighters in the world.
Top fighters normally have 1 tune up and jump back in against a top name, even if they aren't champ.
