Darren Bent or Carlton Cole

Not saying any of them are coming to Cardiff, just want opinions on who you'd rather if we were to go for either of them.

Carlton cole , Maynard and Campbell are simular players to bent and have the potential to be as good imo

Darren Bent by far the better player but between the two I would go with Cole.

for a few reasons, one being I believe Maynard and Campbell are similar types of players to Bent although obviously not proven like Bent is in the premiership.

The other reason and main reason is the cost, Bent would command a good transfer fee and very high wages. Cole is available on a free and his wages will be whatever someone is willing to pay, he wont be cheap but I dont think it will be in the same class as Bent.

I think the money Bent would cost could be used better in other areas or on a different player.

Carlton Cole is available on a free, whilst Darren Bent guarantees you Premier League goals.

I would personally love to see Darren Bent at City. Fantastic goalscorer.

Why do you think we need Cole more than Bent? Do we have to play with a target man up front? Cole has been very hit and miss in the Premiership throughout his career and in large spells of his career, he has been unable to keep a regular place in a bottom half of the table Premiership team. Darren Bent has consistantly scored goals for many seasons in the Premiership. There is a huge gulf in class between the 2 players imo.

Hard to say Kiss is a waste, still very young, Slovakian U21 captain and still quite decent, has potential
