Multi-culturalism- what a failure.

I would like to know when did the people of this country vote to get rid of our proud history, culture and fight /stand up for what is right attitude?
Who took it away from us?
It has been replaced with multiculturalism. How could anyone justify it as being a good thing for our country.
I grew up in a Christian society where we generally lived in peace with our neighbours and looked out for each other. Now most people are afraid to go out after dark, cannot say what they like or believe in their own country and its laws.
Immigrants in the past came here to work, and better themselves (many of them did) and to make a safe home for their families. They came here because they felt safe and were protected by British Christian laws, that they accepted (whatever their own religion) and in the vast majority of cases lived in peace with the indigenous population. Many of them worked hard and did well for themselves.
Today the immigrants come here to scrounge off us, bleeding our economy dry with benefit claims, straining our health services to breaking point, overloading our education system and undermining our safety and security.
If these people do not like our laws, society, beliefs etc. then why do they stay here? If Islam is a peaceful religion, why are they coming here to escape Sharia law? They demand we change our stable, historical, legal and basically free society to replace it with their backward, discriminatory, non-acceptance of others beliefs, just to suit them.
Lastly, why in a multi-cultural society is it always the muslims who seem to have the problems getting on with everyone else?
How many Sikhs, Hindus, Jews, Catholics, Jehovah Witnesses, Buddhists, do you see threatening other religions/members of society? They have settled here in their millions, accepted (and been accepted) our laws, religion and freedoms. Why cannot the religion of peace do that? I would say it is because it is not a religion of peace, but a society/ political ideology/religion that is not accepting of anyone other than those who will bow and scrape to their backward and evil beliefs.
To all muslims, either get out of our country and let the rest of us live in peace , or root out the sick evil ones amongst your people and kick them out of the country. The rest of us would then be free to know we will not be attacked, beheaded or blown up while trying to just get on with our lives, working to look after our families and loved ones. I am sure no British people will care then how much you persecute each other, rape and abuse women and children, behead or stone anyone who tries to educate women, or give them any say in their lives, (like how they dress). In Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan you can carry on massacring each other safe in the knowledge we have no interest in helping the innocents there.

When I went to Sydney in '99 it was a couple of years before the then Blair-government welcomed anyone and everyone and even then in Sydney there were huge issues between the different communities in the suburbs.

I never forget saying to friends then that thank god back hom we dont have areas which are like gettos and can be discribed as the 'Lebanesse area' or 'Korean area' because the problems where that people would always be attracted to areas within cities where they are comfitable in. Then if/when issues arrise you have these communities fighting almost each other.

Now that was 1999 and yet the then Government refused to learn from problems in outskirts of other large world cities because all they wanted to do was to make sure that the Labour Government was in for decades to come by social engineering this:

Australia, New Zealand, India, Hong Kong, Falklands and others have had their infrastructure boasted hugely because of British rule and wouldn't be half as strong now then had Britian not ruled for a time. The vast majority of the countries are still in the Commonwealth because they understand it is better for them to still be in that group of nations

Seems like people only want to remember the bad things the british empire got up to but conveniently forget all the good things that came out of the british empire which probably outweighs all the bad Lol yes, we have a dubious past, but hasn't every country.

Whilst our history includes acts that we should be ashamed of, we have been and still are the torch bearer for freedom and democracy. One of our key differentiators is that as a civilised society we learnt from past mistakes and via a democratic process of govenment and the implementation of a balanced and well informed education system, we understand right from wrong and are free to make choices in terms of how our nation develops. As a result we are now one of the most peaceful and tolerant nations in the world.

Christianity may not hold sway any more, but many christian beliefs still form the foundation of our laws and way of life, and they ensure our moral compass guides us more towards peace than conflict.

We have to our credit chosen a path of acceptance and tolerance, only for a minority of those we tolerate and accept, to turn on us because they believe our balanced democratic beliefs to be weak and evil. They are only accepting of their way and are blinded by extremism and unable to debate, understand any other viewpoints or form a balanced opinion. For any nation/s to live in peace, they have to be prepared to compromise in some way, but for them, there is no compromise.

We must always take the moral high ground when confronted by any groups or individuals that are intolerant of the freedoms and way of life that they now benefit from. The choice should be simple, accept our nations laws and freedoms, or seek an alternative country that will be open or willing to conform to your wishes.

Yes these are people with an agenda. There was a programme about the Indian Rail network on the other day which was all set-up by the British and they admitted that it would be no chance of the modern day Indian boom if the rail infrastructure hadn't already been set-up by the British.

Two other areas are Burma and Zimbabwe as well as many others, I wonder if the indigenous population would prefer their recent governments than when in British rule..? As far more people were killed when they were under indigenous rule!!!

If it wasn't for multicultralism we would have even more narrow minded, ignorant pigs such as the EDL in our society. As a result of multicultralism, I have friends from all sorts of area's around the world and have also benefited from being more cultured and open minded as an individual.

Multicultralism also allows people to judge people as individuals no matter what their skin colour or ethnicity is. We have also benefited from the more simple things in life such as different types of food and resteraunts etc.

For me multicultralism helps individuals grow as people and gives us an insight on other aspects of life. Things we may think are important won't be as important for other people and it gives you a sense of what is important in life.

It does also have it negatives but overall multicultralism is good in my opinion.

So if this country is so bad then why are you USING its University system then..?

1. I am currently here and its easier for me to do so

2. The education system is actually regarded quite well globally although that is not the be all and end all of life after education so once my education is done I shall move to a country where I want to settle

3. I paid thousands and thousands in tax working before I started university at the age of 20 and I am not entitled to all of the loans and so forth - only the lowest form of loan

4. I can move abroad and quite happily pay back my loan by setting up a direct debit with SFW whilst living a country I want to live in and will be happier living in

5. Nowhere did I state the university system was bad. Britain does some good things but no I dont want to live here for the rest of my life and upon finishing university I will be leaving like plenty of other graduates do. I'll be paying it back dont worry Brownie, SFW will make sure of that.

I'm not racist, prejudice just a realist. I count some muslims as my friends, however these people integrate into our society while also following their beliefs.I don't like those that segregate themselves, that's the issue here. They don't want to mix, they don't like us and it is those people that I do not like.
