I'd say no. If he was sounded out by Evertons people, then he wouldn't have been the only one. The unproven approach worked well enough for them with David Moyes, but they were relegation material then. It's a different role now and Periera would be able to attract a better standard of player to Goodison than Malky

If we survive comfortably next season though, he'll add a few more suitors I'm sure. Whatever happens, it'll be difficult to keep hold of him in the long term
