Everton

Wed May 22, 2013 5:52 am

I am completely perplexed by this Everton thing. I am not denying Everton have an excellent history. I'm not denying that they have a good side although that will be depleted when Felleini and Baines go. And I'm not denying that their support is good

BUT I JUST DON'T GET IT......

If I were in Malkys shoes they are not a club who would fill me with a lot of interest. Where is the challenge?

On the contrary we have "A Dream" here at Cardiff which everyone has bought into. We have a dream which Tan Sri is funding and having been in at the start I personally would want to be there at the end.

I genuinely believe that with the right players we have the capability of reaching a top 10 position and that to me is exciting

It is for this reason I believe MM will stay. We are a club on the up and I think he is enjoying the ride.

I think there is a lot of rose... Or red... tinted spectacle wearing by our fans.

We are a team on the up in terms of we have been promoted, but that's in the past - at this moment in time we are favourites to become a team on the down.

Tan is a mentalist, everton want someone for the long haul, there is job security and a big pay cheque on offer. With us, one bad season and he will in all likelihood be sacked and the fans expecting such things as top 10 turning on him. £25m isn't a great deal of money when having to overhaul a side and there is far more room to build an excellent side at Everton.

It's chalk and cheese,

This . Not sure what it is on here lately but it's embarrassing when people try to make out we are anywhere near a club like Everton . Our idiot owner compared to kenwright is also laughable

That they are as the league states a top 6 club, top players, a big stadium, and known world wide. Why' would be not go?

Surely young managers strive to do well in the game so they can get opportunitys at a top club like Everton.

Re: Everton

Just for clarification here I am not comparing Cardiff to Everton. Everton have a solid history of Premiership football. They have great supporters and are a top 8 premiership side.

The point I am making is that what we have, in my opinion, is something more exciting.

Everton have the annual challenge as to whether they finish 5th 6th 7th or 8th. What we have is the dream of turning a side, who have not played in the top flight for 50 years, into side that can compete at the top level - competitively

Provided the salary is similar I am sure our challenge/dream is more exciting than the mini league that Everton compete in.

Re: Everton

I don't think people understand just how big the takeover of Everton is going to be.

But evertons challenge is getting every drop of ability out of top players to get a trophy or champions league breaking the top 4.
Working with players he can't get t city and coaching the baines of the league

If you are talking challenge then Malky has the challenge of getting Everton into the Champions League, and then competing in the Champions League.

I dont see how keeping City in the Premier league is a more exciting challenge than getting Everton into the Champions League sorry.

We havent even kicked a ball in the PL and already people are saying we have more potential and are a more exciting challenge than one of the greatest clubs in the country.

I think people need to come down a peg or two.

It will be this big .

Club has been up for sale for years and years. Nobody wants them. Although goodison is a good old fashioned ground its falling to bits. A new stadium is a must for any new owner. Why would you take them over only to be lumbered with a few hundred mill building project to start

By telling Liverpool that they will only give planning permission for a new ground if both clubs share it.

Re: Everton

I thought liverpool ave had planning permission granted to expand anfield and are in the process of looking to buy houses in the area.

Problem solved as only one ground then needs o be built
