Is Sunday going to be another disaster.

Tue May 21, 2013 7:12 pm

Banners with F**k Modern Football.
Teenagers getting drunk, singing Anti Tan songs.

I hope no shame is brought to our club after all the hard work people have put in, on and off the pitch this season.

I shame your sentiments. It's totally the wrong angle to go for, in my opinion.

For Tan it will be wonderful. Any idiotic behaviour or foul language will just push more fans towards Tan's red vision because they dont want to be associated with that sort of thing.

A simple flag in the stadium in one of the stands just surfing, no vicious chants or racism, would suffice. A picture speaks a thousand words.

Just

WE'RE CARDIFF CITY

WE'LL ALWAYS BE BLUE

WITH A BLUEBIRD BETWEEN IT

- surfing would suffice.

Ofc it will fail, all people making the blue events are just talk.

Like some little event will get known by the media, everyone is focused on us being in the Premiership.

Sorry.. they happen but fail due to people who pretend their going but never do.

Just an opportunity for bucktoothed, long haired, nerdy teenagers to drink cheap cider and sing songs telling Tan to f**k off.

....Wearing a Cardiff top with CHAMPIONS 2013 on the back. f**k you Tan.

Re: Is Sunday going to be another disaster.

Whilst I fully appreciate peoples right to protest IF they feel strongly about something, what makes me a little confused with regard to this particular march is what they genuinely believe they can possibly achieve and who do they genuinely believe will listen with any real interest and/or influence?

Personally, I don't think the march will be either a success or a disaster, as no-one other than the few in attendance (Echo apart) will give much of a toss; certainly no-one close to Vincent Tan

Those who have chosen to attend don't appear to have a strategy and most cannot reasonably explain their opposition to the red other than to say "it takes away our identity and our history"

Excuse me, but that's absolute bollocks and Cardiff City FC is still exactly that...Cardiff City FC

We all have our individual opinions as to whether we accept (note: not support) or reject the red and that is exactly what they are...individual

Enjoy your day and enjoy your march, but (most of all) remember you are only representative of yourselves and NOT 27,000 Cardiff City FC supporters; most of whom will appreciate but not SUPPORT your march ;) :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I would hazard a guess that a portion of the CCFC support associate the blue with the hooliganism and that is why they really aren't bothered at all and are prepared to support the rebrand.

What could potentially happen on Sunday could only worsen that view.

Not all Cardiff hooligans are/were "soul crew". But yeah, that was utter rubbish.

What are you basing that on? From what a gather it's a celebration and a gathering to show the club what our identity means to us. Most fans want the blue i'm sorry sven gali. The club will know about it therefore so will our owner. If want to show the club that you prefer blue, get down the castle sunday and do your bit. :ayatollah:

I agree Barry this is the wrong angle.

We all want Blue, some more than others, but I feel drinking and marching with certain types of banners will have the adverse effect.

I would prefer someone to attempt to get Tan's ear, preferably around a table and see if there is anything he will compromise on in the near future.

I would be happy to play in Blue every away game, to start. I am sure Tan would consider that if it was put to him from the right angle by the right person.

There needs to be a seen opposition to the rebrand. A group that has an infrastructure and an agenda to follow. All that is sadly missing. I'm hoping from this gathering this Sunday something like this will rise.

Indeed it does :ayatollah:

It's what I do (wear the blue shirt) and sends out the message as loudly as any oratory prose

I might 'accept' the red but I don't have to BUY into it ;) :ayatollah:

If you worded it "most fans would PREFER the blue in an ideal world where someone else came in with £80m+" then I would agree BUT the simple fact is that MOST have accepted the red for reasons stated so clearly on here (and by Vincent Tan himself) previously :(

As for Sunday? It is NOT (IMHO) a 'celebration' it is a number of pissed off individuals who want to keep banging on about an issue that is (for now at least) dead in the water

I won't be there myself, as I (personally) don't buy into the concept. However, I STILL wear BLUE to games and I will continue to do so next season. Like others (red or blue) that is my prerogative and (as I state above) is far more of a statement than any that Sunday's event will make ;)

I hope everyone there enjoys a sunny and 'trouble-free' day but please don't kid anyone that it is anything other than a protest of sorts ;) :ayatollah:
