Malky: Squad only needs "Tweaking" ' Part 2

Tue May 21, 2013 12:35 pm

Just take a look at what happened to the Clubs that thought they had enough quality to stay in the Premiership without making significant signings and assumed just tweaking would suffice :( .
Derby
Blackpool
Hull
Burnley
Watford

The facts are for all to see and tell a story  although i believe this is just a Malky rues to keep his transfer budget close to his chest which would make a lot of sense

But then look at Norwich, Southampton & Swansea who all stayed up comfortably without making wholesale changes. If Malky thinks we don't need too many new players then I'm right behind him :ayatollah:

The facts are people havent even read what Malky actually said.

He used the term tweaking, he then proceeded to explain how this summer will be like last summer where he brought in 5-6 first team players of better quality than we currently have.

People have a habit of reading what they want to read.

We have a squad with the ability to grind out results through hard work and team spirit. Too many new players would ruin that. We also have a couple of younger players with the ability and opportunity to improve up to PL level such as Mutch, Gunnarsson, Kim, Mason, Turner, Nugent, Conway, Noone, Gestede. We just need a bit of extra quality here and there.

well. lets be honest, some of that shit we had to watch down there last season, wont work in the prem. take peterbrough for example, need i say more. barnsley. defend a goal. that wont work either. how many games did we play really good in? anybody who thinks that that team . with a little tweaking, wont go straight back down is deluded, we need 4to 6 players of a certain quality to survive, we are gambling on players we have making the big time. could be too late by the time somebody realizes

No need for that. I simply said we had a number of young players in our squad that may be able to grow into the Premier League. We need a bit of quality here and there, maybe 1 quality player for each area of the field at least.

Please read malkys interview

This is the first paragraph of the Malky interview.

"Malky Mackay insists his current Cardiff City squad is just going to need ‘tweaking’ to survive in the Premier League.

Despite the Bluebirds already being installed as one of the favourites to face the drop next term, the Cardiff manager said he will be keeping faith with many of the players who stormed to the Championship title this season."

If that not what was meant why say it for all to read!,it seems you are trying to twist this thread just to attention seek.

It's amazing how naive some football fans are

Do you think Malky would say to the press"right, my squad isn't good enough and most of them are on longer contracts than they should be. We need a major overhaul"

Even if he believed that he wouldn't come out and say it. He's just being his usual diplomatic self. He knows what's needed. We don't

Talk sense bhaaaat.

Malky played the brand of football he knew was needed to get us out of the division. Boring or not IT WORKED. Phase 1 complete.

He has a hard working team that dont know when they are beat, he has made us solid. We have a good mix of youth and experience, teams wont play the same against us in the prem as they have in the champ we will be able to get the ball down and play, malky recognises the fact we need about 5/6 players of quality he can add them in to give us a bit more flair to the already good hard working UNIT we have...

Give up with the "scary" jibes pal i dont want to get on the wrong side of you or you might disco dance me to death you old 70's codger

Not a good moment for you this.

You've listed players such as Billy Sharp and a few others who Southampton signed in the Championship.

Then two years worth of Norwich & Swansea signings (four transfer windows!)

HE PLAYED A CERTAIN WAY TO GET OUT OF THE f*cking LEAGUE #repeatedlybangsheadonwall

Read what the man says ffs.

Jesus f*cking wept.

Jesus you striking fear in people today oh fearless one, calm down winston, the guy you quoted is talking sence imo not yours. :ayatollah:

He's talking sense not mine? Erm "not mine" what?
