Anthony Hopkins

Has been Cast in a Hollywood portrayal of the head of the Gambino Crime Family John (The Teflon Don/ Dapper Don)Gotti.
Gotti was the Hollywood Gangster and was adored and followed by the New York press.
Gotti Claimed top spot after Slaying the then current head of the family,Big Paulie Castelano. Paul was doomed from the start as he was more of a Buisnessman than a gangster and many felt he hadn't earned his stripes to take the top seat.

John Travolta will take the lead role of Gotti while it is though Hopkins will play a leading and prominant member of the Mafioso.

Who is the director? Hope they don't ruin by making it a TV drama like they did with Mario Puzo's The Last Don, which was his last book.

No-one said they hated Travolta but he is no Mafia Don and has no resemblance to John Gotti whatsoever

Been descirbed as a bopic, so we will probably see different generations of John, so the success of the movie Depends on who is playing Gotti Jnr...

The confirmation of Hopkins to the movie certainly add a stellar boost but the casting is far from finished yet..

Should have gone for an unknown actor to play the lead roll imo. Just can't see travolta convincing the audience. He's a decent enough actor in certain type films, but he doesn't strike me as an actor who can play a serious mafia-gangster lead roll and pull it off
