Dortmund trip!!

Me and a few mates are going to go to dortmund for a pre season game if they announce one at home! Can't go in the season because my mates play football, so I was wondering if anyone had any info on going or if there's an English speaking forum to go on, I've looked but can't find anything!! Flights and hotels are easy enough using sky scanner and booking.com.. So I just wanted to look into things more!

Ryanair fly into dusseldorf which is 45 mins to Dortmund on the ice train. Tickets are easy to get hold of for games. The website has an English section I believe.

I've been a few times to watch games, but its just a 3 hr drive for me.

I'd advise to go for a fri sat and sun, as dusseldorf is better than any place for a night out I've been.

Dortmund are playing Munich in the super cup. Do you know if the nightlife is any good in dortmund?? Because I've been told there's not a lot there!

To be fair who needs nightlife when you can get pissed in the pubs on strong German beer with Dortmund fans? Best fans in the world imo. The yellow wall gives me chills!

We booked flights to dortmund £81 return and got a 4 star hotel for £25 per night in dortmund city.. Tickets on viagogo for the super cup v Munich are £72. Do you know of anywhere we can get cheaper? People are saying website or phone them, but I done both and couldn't understand a thing

You are best off doing it over the phone and asking if somebody speaks English. A lot do so keep trying and you will get somebody.

I phoned earlier and it was answer phone but it was late. Ill phone again tomorrow and hopefully speak to someone.. £3.50 a minute so not ringing all the time
