I think it's sad that people find such meaningless waffle as important.

Just my opinion of course.

Fans can scream, shout and post as many blogs as they want, the fact is, Cardiff City FC is red.

What he says at the end is correct, principles are very important but so is perspective.

I applaud the Bluebirds Unite initiative but he does them no favours by saying
don't be put off by bullies and don't feel like you need to be a sheep and follow the propoganda!

It's an inciting statement that doesn't help the cause.

Well Ive got a lot of Respect for Simon, I remember him going away with us when only 200 would go, where was everyone then?
Simon is hurting more than others and we should respect him, everyone feels it in different ways.
I despise and detest the rebrand, but still go.

That statement and blog in general is not inciting at all.

Passionate, yes. Inciting, no.

It is sad that a Cardiff City fan is forced to feel like this.
I know, I feel the same way.
However, it is people like Simon writing articles like this that keeps the issue in the spotlight.
It is people like Simon and those going on Sunday, who won't give up on getting their club back to it's rightful colours and identity, that will one day see success in disgraceful saga.
It may take a long time, but we will keep it going until we get our club back.

Yes, there are some wallies on twitter. Don't hit us all with the same bat, however.

I could point out pro-reds that have felt it necessary to intimidate/threaten others to get their point across too...

Very well said. Fact is, I would have been a lot sadder if CCFC had gone bankrupt and taken all our history with it.

I don't remember that being a big threat? :? Tan said he would get additional investors involved should we stay blue... unless you don't believe him of course?

Cast your mind back a couple of years:-

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 898206.stm

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 506666.stm

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 775247.stm

This only stopped once Tan came in.

No, he said he would look for additional investors. Which was a very fancy outlook at the time. There was no evidence that anyobody was prepared to come in and help a club with £70m debts (at the time). He wasn't lying but everybody knows we would have been in limbo for some time. He also would have scaled back his investment which may have led to the above problems coming back and it is recognised his investment kept the club afloat in those two years before the rebrand.

Are you saying that Tan wouldn't have any rich contacts? :laughing6: okay.

Neither of us knows what would happen, but to assume that we would close down, is wrong.

None of them have stepped forward so far, despite his desire to people to join with him in investing...

Given our history in the years before before June 2012, it is a extremely reasonable assumption.

He doesn't want any to invest now, as he is in sole control. He was going to IF we didn't agree to rebrand.

The whole point of the red is to attract major investment and support from the Asian area.

Do you actually believe that?!

It's quite obvious that this rebrand was because of one man's favourite colour & his love of make believe dragons.
