Just watched a bit of Wigan on there parade for the fa cup win . I don't think I would be in the mood to celebrate after getting relegated to be honest, must be a strange feeling !
I wonder if they would give the cup back for survival in the prem ?
They said there's hundreds there aswell not thousands

Would they give the FA Cup back?
No chance. That is something they will tressure for a long time and they could easily return to the Prem in the next 2 seasons.

We still go on about 1927, the FA cup is a huge thing.

So would you take winning the fa cup next year over relegation ?
I would rather stay in the premier league than win the cup tbh

Still more people than the Welsh Wigan's parade

I agree Carl, the FA cup gets watered down every year and it will soon be a match for the Carling Mickey Mouse cup . Even we put out development squad this year .
It will be interesting to get the fans view (Wigan) on whether they will miss the Prem . Certainly the Chairman will miss the money.
I fear for Wigan , and if they loose Martinez they may well do a Wolves.

Absolutely but regardless the FA cup is a massive win for them or any other team in the english pyramid.

Probably the best way to ease a relegation, winning a major tournament.

Wigan has a small town, and is very close to both scouse and Manchester clubs. They aren't the major team in the town with Wigan rugby league.
To win the oldest club cup in the world is huge and can never be taken away. You don't win trophies for staying n the league, and they were always overstretchig being in the prem, an average championship team given the size of the town.
I'd take major trophies over relegation every day, you can always get promoted again.

I hope they dont ever come near the Premiership again with that pathetic support of them. Stick to rugby league i say

I wish they would give the FA Cup back it's prestige in one swoop by putting a Champions League place on it.
I know this year that would mean Wigan in the CL but I think that some teams might take it a bit more seriously anyway if you did that!
