Baz

Just a 10ft fly rod and a spining rod using rapalas. Plus tried worming and shrimping.

Have good record on fly for sewin at night, but have never taken salmon on fly unfortunately. Waited 2 yrs to catch my first salmon (rapala) and caught 2 in 10 mins. was buzzing ans said to other there i was on a roll but was reminded that there is a club limit of 2 a day and the fact that I hadnt caught a salmon in two years meant sod all !!

Have a look for Llandyssul angling on web, 32 mls of the best fishing you could hope for.

how much is the permit, and can you have a daily ticket??

Re: football and fishing

Mon Apr 12, 2010 10:34 pm

Yes you can get daily or weekly permits on the site, annual membership cheap enough.

Re: football and fishing

Mon Apr 12, 2010 10:42 pm

Baz.

Just checked its £149 for full membership for 12 months and £18 for day ticket.

Clubs river beats go from just north of Lampeter to newcastle emlyn. For sewin its best at dark. salmon and trout in day.

At a lot of the popular beats the club have their own parking places.

Go on their site I think there is an open day soon.

Nice brace of bream there mate. Have you tried this place - http://www.belmont-hereford.co.uk/fish/ - it's the dogs bollox butt. Have to wait until 15th June to get on there but it's well worth the wait. In the meantime until the rivers can be fished you wont go far wrong here for a commercial fishery - http://www.cefnmablylakes.co.uk/ :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
