Gomis price tag was 15 mill last summer , he now only has 1 year left he won't be anywhere near that figure , more like 7/8 mill . And I'd be very suprised if we had a chance anyway

Gomis price tag was 15 mill last summer , he now only has 1 year left he won't be anywhere near that figure , more like 7/8 mill . And I'd be very suprised if we had a chance anyway

I agree we have very little chance of getting him but he has been a rumour, as I say in my title. And with teams like spurs and arsenal competing for his signature I wouldn't be surprised if he did go for 15million.

You think I was comparing O'Neill and Carroll?

I was simply noting that he plays in the same squad as a £35m player, so having Gomis (rated £15m) linked with a move to City alongside O'Neill isn't the most unrealistic thing in the world.

As for the "£15m" price tag, the papers have failed to take into consideration the fact Gomis is soon entering his final year of his contract, whilst Lyon are trying to offload players due to the club's hefty wage bill.

I wouldn't be surprised if Gomis is available for a fee between £6m and £9m.
