Steven Caulker and John Brayford

Sat May 18, 2013 9:36 am

There are a few rumours circling that we might make a move for Tottenham's former Swans loanee Steven Caulker, he's a good strong centre half and he's very quick. I'd accept him into the group no problem.
Also, I heard a whisper we're back in for Brayford, I'm not quite sure if he's prem quality but it's better than we currently have!
Also it seems Malky's going to use up his two long term loans in Man Utd's Nick Powell (he and Moyes want him gaining more first team experience).
The other is Liverpool's Suso, Brendan Rodgers' new policy since signing for the reds is that he only loans out to club he knows have a good manager and good training staff. That's why Suso didn't go to QPR in January.

Some positive rumours and I hope they become fact over the next couple of months! :malky: :ayatollah:

No chance on Caulker, he has started nearly 30 games this season for spurs.

Powell should be loaned out but I'm not sure we are going to rely on him to be a premiership first teamer and there is no reason for Man Utd to send him here if he is going to spend most of the season sitting on his backside on the bench.

Not sure what the obsession with brayford is. What did he do last season that was so remarkable?

Not a hope on caulker. Made it into the england squad and will become englands best cb in the next few years. Hell of a talent.

Caulker hasn't started 20 games this season, and hasn't even made 30 appearances for Spurs... :?

If he wants more first team football, I'd welcome the lad. Fantastic prospect.

Was looking at PL appearances, considering that's where we would need to focus, but the additional European games would have helped.

He'd likely get 36 starts next to Hudson in a City shirt. :D

The main reason Caulker has played so much this season is because Kaboul has been injured. Also, Dawson and Vertonghen have cemented their places as the starting CB's. Caulker will be 4th choice next season(unless Kaboul starts and Vertonghen gets moved to left back), so it's not all unlikely that he could be loaned out.
