Was that 0-0? I stood on the terrace beneath the grandstand, and can remember struggling to see over the wall. 13 years old.

Gary Stevens could have scored for us near the end, he was inches away from being an all time hero

Think that was the game someone lobbed a snooker ball at Georgey Wood(or was that Everton Lge Cup).
Those were the days there would always be a mad scramble at the back to get hands on any missiles down the steps, and fly em toward the train. Never understood why so much ammo was always available, looking back things were alot more basic.
Not sure any ever hit the train, it was a good hundred yards from the back of the Bob.
Miss the Bob Bank - sniff........

I went to the away leg,2-1 or 3-1 I think.I remember a young Paul Davis(think that was his name)absolutely destroying us.

Yeah, the the away game was a bit of a blur for me, i got pissed going up on one of the special trains we chartered for the supporters club, i started coming around in the second half and i'm sure john buchanan scored for us????
