"SOUTH WALES ECHO-TOTAL CRAP"

The city news and sport in this paper is chronic, all the stories published were on the net days ago.Never any stop- press on breaking news etc.I get everything I want to know about city on here,but not everyone has access to the net so our local paper is so important to many people.I had a look at the Yorkshire evening post and it was crammed with leeds stuff(training updates,transfers etc) Now we are in the prem I think we should have a weekly newspaper for all things city written by fans and people who actually know whats happening at our club(not just copying stuff days ago)The old football echo was better than this rag!!!!

Front page is even worse headlines like "SEAGULL STOLE MY CHIPS IN CAROLINE STREET"worse than the sunday sport!

I dont buy it for the simple reason you said ,you can read things on here days before those mugs copy and paste it ....journalists my arse !!

And they got the cheek to charge 55pence for it lol

I love it - I agree the stuff is often old hat, but there is a certain pleasure to be had reading a paper, even the Echo, and seeing page after page of the City IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE!!!!!

Got a big stack of the various celebration pullouts - the missus got right peed off they were clogging up the place, relocated to the office to be read at leisure there.

Getting a nice clip frame this weekend for the colour team photo, up on the wall for when she gets back from the shops.

Until they start acting like a voice for the club they will never be the first to get the story. They genuinely have no contacts within the club so have to rely on piss poor delayed information via message boards and the internet.

That paper went downhill a long time ago, but I've boycotted it since they were wishing Swansea luck ahead of their play-off final.

Echo been rubbish for years and even the 'chippies' have abandoned it!

Was always a 'fan' when the likes of Joe Lovejoy were on the staff and even had a grudging like for Terry Phillips. But the final straw for me was that completely deluded fantasist pr**k Tucker; same world differet planet

Ive bought one copy in about 3 years and that was the promotion copy I asked my mum to pick me up one of back in Cardiff.
