Some of you guys might know me, Bart, for running with camera and photographing everything CCFC this season. Many of you asked me where they can see the pictures I took. So here is the answer:

An exhibition that CELEBRATE the CCFC's CHARGE TO THE PREMIER LEAGUE opens soon in Cardiff Bay!


THERE WILL BE A MASSIVE OPENING PARTY ON SATURDAY 1st OF JUNE at 7pm IN THE BAY (exact address of it below). I WOULD LIKE AS MANY OF YOU TO COME OVER SO WE CAN MEET UP A MONTH AFTER THE SEASON'S END AND ENJOY CHAT, BANTER AND BUZZ (there will be a cheap beer in the building)

Opening Night Preview: Saturday 1st of June from 7pm
exhibition is open during the whole of June Wed-Sun 12-6pm


This is not a story of the club but of the people who support it – Bartosz Nowicki

CITY – The Season follows the fans of Cardiff City FC during the 2012/ 13 campaign, when the Bluebirds wore red (for the first time). Nowicki presents his own record of the season, inter-weaved with other photographs and text from City’s fans, to celebrate the club’s charge to the Premier League. The show also explores issues of identity and belonging generated by the club’s controversial rebrand.

Nowicki gets to the heart of what it means to follow Cardiff City - home and away. The agony and ecstasy of watching the game, journeys to away grounds in cramped coaches, the harrying presence of stewards and police. But also the drinking, singing, joke playing and always the colours of the shirts and tattoos that became contested symbols of belonging during a season in which, according to Nowicki, 'the shadow of the rebrand followed us to every corner of Britain’.

City – The Season is part of an ongoing long-term project on Cardiff City FC.

Polish born Bartosz Nowicki lives in Cardiff and is a curator and trustee at the Third Floor Gallery. He has exhibited and published widely and is a founding member of The DICE Project.

I would have liked to have been there Bart, but I will be in Australia for 3 months, hope it goes well for you.
