Fernando Torres - Champion of the world?

Wed May 15, 2013 11:09 pm

He currently holds:

World Cup (2010)
European Championship (2008, 2012)
Champions League
Europa League

European Championship Golden Boot
FIFA Confederations Cup Golden Boot
Europa League Golden Boot

Plus 22 goals this season with a few assists to his name. He's not really that bad is he? ;)

Chelsea have a great number of of class players and at Liverpool he was the star of the show.

His achievements are there and he is quality.

No headline over the goals he scored.

It is all because of the sitter v Manu the trolls come out to play.

Torres looked back to his best last night, hasn't met the standards set at Liverpool since joining Chelsea but has been pretty good this season.

I think the £50m fee has been a burden for him.

Chelsea and their fans havent helped. He hasnt been the same player since that injury in the World Cup final and then he got rushed back.

Still a good player just needs more confidence plus he's scored 2 vital goals for Chelsea now.

I'd swap him for Velikonja if they were interested in doing a deal

At Liverpool he was the main man and the star.. With Chelsea you have a number of quality players like Lampard, Mata, Hazard who get more headlines.

I get your point but he did also have Gerrard and Xabi Alonso at Liverpool!

Having seen this thread, I decided to "YouTube" him during his Liverpool days... You wouldn't even think its the same player. Such a shame..

Missing the English FA Cup too.

All he's missing is the Premier League then he can say he's had a successful time in England.

Think it's down to the poor man management of Chelsea managers that has ruined him as a player but you see glimpses of him, he didn't ask for the price tag

I didn't put the FA Cup because he doesn't hold it right now, Wigan do :ayatollah:

Didn't he win the FA Cup when he played against Liverpool when Carroll scored for Liverpool?
