Following Wigan's success and demise within 3 days of each other, a question for all fellow Bluebirds.
Would you rather win the FA cup and be relegated from the Premier League or Premier League survival and FA cup runners-up? and reasons why?

Total no brainer, league survival. The championship is a dungeon that's too difficult to escape (as you may have noticed

)

For a club like wigan, I don't think they'd swap there fa cup for another season in the prem league.. It was a ones in a lifetime opportunity for them winning the cup. They are in a pretty good position 2 bounce back next season and get promoted! For me though, I think it was extremely important and a lot riding on it for our club to get into the premier league.. And to stay up for at least a season or 2, so I would deffo pick survival over fa cup

I think the FA Cup is part of the clubs history if your win it.
As our history appears immensley important to most people ( in reference to the badge etc) surley winning it is more important, otherwise your pidgeon- holing what defines history.

Good question
Although the Wigan fans are gutted, the ones I've seen interviewed came to the conclusion that relegation was inevitable sooner than later, so at this moment in time, winning the FA cup was just as important to them as survival. I think it'll be a different answer depending on how you see the clubs current situation

FA Cup. Teams who win trophies are remembered, teams that survive relegation every year are not.
We've already guaranteed our place in the Prem for a year and we can say we've been there.
To put the current side alongside the 1927 boys would be amazing and it would be an honour to be alive to see. Plus, I'll still be there if we drop down the divisions anyway

I love the FA Cup and when I was at Wembley in 2008 nobody wanted us to win more than me, but we didn't for a number of reasons.
The cold, hard reality of modern football is such, though, that we need to stay in the Prem for a while now - in fact, if we stayed there for the next 20 years without a cup win, I'd be happy, providing we eventually looked at going for one of the cups again.

FA Cup 100%.
Winning the FA Cup, one of the most pretigious trophies in the world, is a once in a lifetime type of achievement. Not getting relegated from the Premier League isn't.
