Will Gomis sign for Cardiff?

Does any believe that Gomis would sign for cardiff? Apparenty his a benteke style player but better! I would be landid with the signing but not sure if he would come to cardiff, hope so!

I can't see it personally because I think a bigger club will come in for him but if we can act quickly then great

No. There will be bigger clubs in for him. He's a quality player and if indeed City do manage to pull this one off it will be a massive coup for the club and really show our intent. Fingers crossed hey "G".

I would be very, very surprised if Gomis signs for City.

It would take two or three other big signings before the lad may be persuaded but, even then, I'd imagine other, bigger PL clubs (Spurs, Arsenal Everton) would be interested.

Would be an excellent sign and a great signal of intent. However, and its a big however, he has played and done well for one of France's biggest clubs in the French League and the Champions League which has earned him call ups to the French squad.

If Gomis leaves I can imagine a host of bigger clubs with bigger spending power and more to offer in terms of playing at a higher level (Champions League).

They say that most rumours are the result of agents putting their players names out there to see if anything happens.

If true, then Gomis agent must think its do-able. Plus if you pay enough money then most players will join.

Remy was 8 mil, so 5-8 mil or Gomis i would be happy. I think cardiff will need to cough up atleast 8 odd for 1 players then get a few 2-5 mil players in

This guy is something special. I spend a bit of time in Lyon from time to time and I've seen him play for Olympique Lyonnais three times in the last two seasons. Looks and plays a similar style to Drogba. Seems to have bags of time when he's on the ball and an excellent finisher. The best player in OL's squad by a country mile! The reason he wants to leave, according to the local press, is the high level of taxation on top earners which has recently been introduced in France by the government. He will be 28 years of age when the new season starts in August and it is felt that Gomis thinks this is his last chance for a lucrative contract. Most French players are not on big wages although Gomis is the highest earner in the Lyonnais squad. According to the receptionist in the hotel I stay in, he would be earning the equivalent of £20,000 a week.

Biggest Coup in the summer will be keeping hold of Malky, be gutted if hes gone.
