Whilst I disagree with Teresa May's change to the sentence, what you just said is utter bollox.
"If they do their job properly they are trained well enough to avoid being killed"
So those policewomen who answered a breaking and entering call had grenades thrown at them and shot weren't doing their jobs properly?

For a start, 2 females, should have never been sent to that call... "A burglary in progress" And yes, in my opinion, when yor a police officer you should expect the unexpected. It was uncalled for what happen to them police officers. But should the bloke who carried it out deserve a longer sentence than say, ian Huntley who killed 2 ten year old children?

Read the top of my post, I disagree with the change but to say what you said about training is tripe mate.
If they were to expect things like that for every call then the police wouldnt go anywhere as they'd have to wait for armed support for a cat up a tree.
Women shouldnt be sent on a call like that? What calls would you allow them on?

How do you train someone to prevent grenades exploding in under 3 seconds? If you know, then you should sell that information to the military!
Ludicrous statement.

Well for a start, there should have been more than 2 female officers answering that call! But like in any job in any walk of life you are going to get extreme cases where you can't avoid it! But in my opinion, when you're a police officer, you should have had enough training to minimise the risk... Especially when answering calls where there is certainly a good chance of getting injured. if there were male police officers at that call, would have more than likely got ontop of that fella before he went and executed atleast the one officer who he chased after and shot
