Personally, I feel the series is a big let down. As a big fan of Thomas Harris Red Dragon and Silence Of The Lambs, this series shallows in comparison. For me Hannibal Lector is let down badly by Mads Mikkelsen. Ok, we all know Lector is played brilliantly in the movies by Anthony Hopkins, but Mads is a struggle to understand every time he talks, his Danish accent really is thick. He also dosen't have that errie presence that Hopkins brought to the screen. The show for me feels to much like it's trying to be somewhere between Silence Of The Lambs and Dexter.

To be honest, I never liked Hannibal Rising or Hannibal the 2001 Ridley Scott Movie. All were cash in's by the studios, so they payed Thomas Harris a bucket load of money to write a rushed sequel and prequel and it shows. And again in this series it shows that this dosen't hold up well to Thomas Harris best work with Red Dragon and Silence Of The Lambs.

And PS... Jack Crawford played by Lawernce Fishburne ? What crazy idiot thought of casting him in the role.

I rate it 4 out of 10.
