Anyone know of any plans to get a better big screen at the stadium or even have another one installed? One each end above the canton and grange end stands would be nice

The screen where it is , is shite ,they should have 1 each end of the goals or another in the opposite corner.

Apparently we are having two new ones and also the plush advertising boards electronic all the way around the pitch.

I've heard we're getting 2 massive ones behind each goal, an electronic advertising arc which covers 3 sides (premier league rules) and the clocks are being sorted too.

I thought most clubs only have 1 big screen? People in demand.

I'm sure the electronic advertising boards are mandatory in the Premier League, it maximises revenue and looks state-of-the-art.
Not too bothered about the new screens, wouldn't mind some Wi-Fi in there though.

Expect this will be included in the statement on the stadium expansion tomorrow

Great shout with the WiFi. Anyone know the rough cost involved for the Club to do it? Do other grounds have it?

I'd be just glad if I could use my own 3G. You enter the stadium and any hope of keeping in touch with the outside world is wiped out.

Both Liverpool and Man City have recently had stadium-wide Wi-Fi implemented. It'd be nice to see City do the same, that's for sure.

Screens, plural, must be getting another one for the Canton then. Hope they're better quality than the current ones too.

With the introduction of goal line tech next season in prem we must upgrade our screens.

I thought the screens were new to us , but not really new - they are to be the ones currently at the Millenium Stadium? A welcome addition nonetheless.
Steve Borley should be able to clarify this.

I know for a fact that the screen debate was massive when they were trying to sort it out. Wayne Nash didn't want it anywhere near the away fans as he felt that if it was hanging from the roof in front of them, they were likely to launch food and drinks etc and he told the club that if they were insistent on getting it put their, that he and his staff would have NO responsibility for cleaning it.... looks like he won that argument.
As for future screens, it'll be interesting to see what happens. As for it being a must due to video technology being implemented.... that's incorrect. We don't need a screen for that at all as the ref will get a signal sent to his watch to tell im if a legitimate goal has been scored. This is the "GoalRef" technology not the hawkeye like in a lot of sports.

So they are replacing the ones at the millennium stadium and we are having their 'hand me downs'?
It sounds a bit like the Bolton one we had a few years ago.

The Best Screen is the one at Charlton....whereby the ball is next to the scorers name....although it didnt make great viewing last time we were there
