He's decent seen him play a few times. Would be blowing about half our budget on him though.

Not on a French (or whatever nationality he is) player, as they have a problem with being up for a scrap when need. Many have history of problems and no fight. It is historically documented that the French have no fight in them, prefer the quick surrender method, and move on to other things attitude.

Would be a good power forward. Was compared to Drogba a lot. Can play up top on his own but not just a big lump, has skills and can finish as well.

Gomis has been linked with a move to a number of top Premier League teams (Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea at one point) for the last four or five seasons now.

Don't quite understand L'Equipe's claims that he's worried such a move would hurt his chances for Brazil 2014, though. He's 28 and managed just 10 caps, so his chances are relatively slim in the first place.

Plus Loic Remy has shown that it's possible to get back into the international frame.

I doubt he'll come here but without a marquee signing of his quality I dont think we'll stay up. Im just being honest. Look where Southampton currently are with the signing of Gaston Ramirez.

Good striker but I don't believe any transfer rumours regarding us. If anything I become certain that we will not get that player!

This is exatly the type of money we should be spending on a top striker if we have ambitions of staying up. I agree with Malky in that we only need 4 or 5 signings to add to this squad. If we got £25m to spend £7m-£10m for Gomis leaving £16m on a wing back, centre back and another midfielder. You can pick up some solid defenders for a few mil.

We need serious investment on a goal scorer! We need 1 or 2 solid defenders and 1 or 2 more midfielders and we will be fine! IMO
