Brighton lose = Implications?

Mon May 13, 2013 9:02 pm

Just to make life a bit more interesting:

1. Gus Poyet now in the market to join a PL club?
2. More chance of Wayne Bridge joining CCFC?

Who knows. They are all good players who could cut it.
You have to expect there will be some changes but my money would be on Poyet leaving. If Malky goes he could be an option for us as or even Everton. I think he is a manager that understands tactics and that would be crucial in the PL.

Must be a sellers market.......

Martinez - team relegated
Poyet - Team fails in the play offs without scoring in 180 mins

No wonder Malky is in the papers so much.

I like poyet but can't help but feel he should have done more with Brighton this season.

MM stays we will stay up no doubt in my mind.

New manager who knows.

Another implication is that the two smaller teams have gone through to the final, this can only be good for our survival hopes next year. Both Brighton and especially Leicester would have spent well had they gone up.

Watford still need permission to even buy a player and could potentially have to build a whole new squad.

Been thinking the same, whilst I quite like Brighton and am not particularly fond of palace from a selfish point of view I think tonite was a good result for us :-)

I don't know the detail but Watford seem to think they will be able to sort the politics and if so could have Udinese A playing next year. We'll just have to wait and see but if Place go up they would obviously be under pressure as they have no real financial backing.

I'm sure Watford will sort it out but the water gets a different sort of murky when Udinese and Watford are both in the top flight. Even if Watford make their loans permanent its still the same team that came third in the Championship. Would Udinese be happy to let Watford have some of their BETTER players.

The owners could spread their quality thin between, three top flight clubs and come unstuck.

I notice that Udinese are co-owners of ten players with other clubs. Can anyone confirm this is not allowed over here? The FA will be scrutinising every transfer deal.
