Malky

Mon May 13, 2013 12:00 am

I have always been a bit cynical about players and managers but I support my club....no individual.

I have great respect for Laudrup fpr openly stating he was staying with swansea town. As for Malky....he has been fantastic for us. However, I have one major problem with the fact he never stated categorically that he wishes to stay with us. He is hedging his bets.

I'm sick of mercenary players and managers......the days are well gone when we had to listen to "it's a short career, they have so little time to make their money."

If Malky stays I'll be delighted but if he goes then I'll put him down as just another mercenary and I fully believe he will fail at Everton. He will not have a few years to build a team.....a good few players will move on and once Everton struggle they will turn.

Malky is building this team up of ours from nothing and with 4 good additions he can help us move on again.

I'm not going to think we are doomed if he does go....but he needs to stop pussy footing around. If he's just waiting for the right job to come along then I'd rather we get someone in now.

If he does go then I think he lets the players down that he signed, the owners, the fans and most of all himself. How anyone can think of joining EFC in their position with the fans crying out for success is beyond me.

If he joins EFC he could be sacked within 12 months but he most likely won't be....they couldn't afford to pay him off.

I want him to stay 100% but I won't be disappointed ......we go and get someone better and move on. No one is bigger than the club.

Laudrup hasn't said no in any article as far as I can see? He says his intentions are to stay with Swansea but intentions change. He has never said no? He certainly didn't on MOTD tonight.

I don't see why people speculate how good he could be at Everton, it doesn't matter.

This club knew it was a Prem club next season what 4/5weeks ago? An advantage over Hull and the play-off winners and some Prem teams. That could all go up in smoke because the club is letting Malky and Everton pussy foot around. It needs sorting now, especially if he's going because the new manager will have little time to prepare for next season.
