Rooney hands in transfer request

Sun May 12, 2013 6:14 pm

Wayne Rooney has handed in a transfer request
The premier league will look a lot different next season with no fergie , no Mancini and possibly no rooney , mourinho could well be back at Chelsea and there will be 2 welsh clubs in the league :D
Silly question but he will be around 25 mill the same as our reported kitty !
I know he will never come BUT

If you had a choice between a couple of decent signings or one huge one like Rooney what would you choose ?
And would one player of his quality be able to keep a team like us up after Being added to our current squad ?

for a start Rooney would never come here

But I would rather decent signings than 1 world class player

Be careful with topics like this, one of the vermin will read it and go running back to Planet Swamp claiming that we are deluded.

Rooney obviously.

It's the right time for Manu to offload him, IMO Rooney has never lives up to his potential and won't now. A big move abroad is on the cards.

Be stupid to offload him. People forget he doesn't play striker anymore, he is world class and always does his job.

according to Sport1 News, Rooney apparently said he would fancy a move to Bayern Munich, as he would want to play under Gardiola. Well, Bayern laughed that one off, saying theres no way they would take him, as he would disrupt the whole team, with a massive transfer fee plus a wage which would be as twice as high as most players....so no chance there...

Rooney: Good player but a completely ungrateful and unthinking feckin idiot!

£250k PER WEEK and he still bites the hand that feeds him!

I'm no ManUre fan (not by any means  ) but I do appreciate that as an ambitious player it is 'the' place to be in this country

Rooney hasn't played well for some time and Sir Alex is no respecter of 'reputations' as he always picks his teams on form and/or format

If he (Rooney) goes (and I think he should be shoown the door by sending him out to an unfashionable club, such as Swansea, where he can appreciate the shite side of life ;) ) then he will soon regret it and (maybe worse) enhance is reputation as a selfish, brainless fool :ayatollah:

Rooney ..... Top player, top international, but not World Class by any means.
Over used phrase.

Disrupt the whole team? Quite laughable when their dressing room kicks off and training most days with Robben, Ribery and Muller.

Would be great to have Rooney, but a safer route is getting in a few quality players just incase Rooney gets injured. We would be screwed then.

If Ferguson ever felt a player was thinking he was bigger than the club, he'd sell him. I think Moyes is the same.

I reckon its more attention seeking and manouevering by his agent, the lad clearly doesnt have the mental ability to make his own decisions
I fully expect him to make a dramatic u-turn and once again claim to love the club ,fans etc
Hope they call his bluff and f**k him off this time, hes not good enough to get in the elite world club sides on crazy wages

haha, there was ONE incident last year after a disappointing season. I think all other teams had more trouble inside than Bayern this year...

Yes, appears the clown Rooney has already had a bit of a change of heart and wants to stay at ManUre now

A complete feckin idiot with no sense of reality. I guess the meeting between Sir Alex, Moyes and Giggs was pretty productive either way. Oh to be a fly on the wall, eh? :ayatollah:

The other one doing the rounds is Arsenal, again can't see that one happening with their wage cap.
Personally,i think he will sit down with Moyes and stay,or he is off to play his football in Europe.

Rooney is well overrated IMO and I wouldn't touch him with a barge pole even if I was a Chelsea or Manchester City fan.

He is capable of flashes of brilliance but goes missing Whittingham style far too often and that is unforgivable in a side as good as Man Utd's.

I've got a feeling Moyes will convince him to stay.
