I thought BT was basically taking over from ESPN in terms of football coverage? I read their channel was getting 38 league games and the UFC fights so I assumed they were simply replacing ESPN.

BT are launching two new sports channels and have also come to an agreement with ESPN to buy their UK franchise and all their sports rights for the UK so they'll have an ESPN channel aswell.

Interesting. Thanks for the information. Any word on how many games BT are showing compared to sky sports?

BT will be showing 38 but they also have the best package so will be showing a higher proportion of the top games.

That's unfortunate for me. I've currently got the virgin XL package with sky sports and free ESPN. I'll probably cancel the sky sports channels out-with the NFL season.
